I took a gamble on them and it worked :) what sort of ZS you got?

ian Harris 11-08-12 05:10 AM

I have a mk1 hatch

peterzs 11-08-12 10:12 AM

Thought it looked good when you started, but now looks awesome, love it.

Worth all the effort thats gone into it.

:yes::yes::yes:

Another Update. Not done much due to being busy at work. Had a few bits done by Dazzer including new badges and a commission style plaque on the interior, which I love btw :). He also made up a bit of checkered vinyl for the fuel flap (tribute to my old ZR)

I also dewipered the rear as I loathed the hatchs rear wiper lol and a decat is being fitted next week along with finally the Subaru Impreza seats :)

Loads better without the wiper mate
not a fan of hatchbacks but I really want your car! lol

stamford 09-09-12 07:37 PM

Looking very good Luke, some nice touches there.

peterzs 09-09-12 07:50 PM

Love it great combo, red and white.

:clap::clap::clap:

KirkJames 09-09-12 07:54 PM

I don't normally like mk1 hatches at all, but that is one sexy car :)

Smokey 09-09-12 07:59 PM

I don't like the red/white combo, would be seen dead in one! :p

ZS Phil 09-09-12 08:21 PM

Looks fantastic! What have you used to plug the hole left by the wiper? A plumbing blank like the ZR boys use?

Seriously love this car!

Sodakid 09-09-12 08:50 PM

wanna swap wheels :D

Lukeus101 16-09-12 03:13 PM

Black Grills including a retro fitted 45 lower grill. Much better front end imo

KirkJames 16-09-12 03:15 PM

Very Nice buddy!

Dan1971 16-09-12 04:02 PM

That a R45 lower grill then ? Don't like mine at all....

Lukeus101 16-09-12 04:37 PM

Tis indeed :)

Dan1971 16-09-12 04:39 PM

Good move - won't copy you though ..... yet ..... ;)

Lukeus101 16-09-12 05:04 PM

Maxfly 16-09-12 05:31 PM

looking great, black grills really seem to freshen up the front end. bootiful:D

Dav 16-09-12 07:26 PM

Your car is half the reason I want a red mk1 hatch. That is looking very very tidy :)

Lukeus101 16-09-12 07:27 PM

Will be another update in the week when the new seats are in :) Thanks all for the kind words

stamford 16-09-12 07:45 PM

Looking good...............still! :D

Lukeus101 19-09-12 03:38 PM

Just ordered new LED lighting for the interior and rear number plates. Also my new seating is done just waiting to collect and the most crappy expensive piece of paper arrived today :(

Believe me if I could afford to do some of the things you've done I would be on it straight away mate. I will definitely keep that in mind though but atm where we are expecting our 2nd baby and redecorating the house & gardens to cope easier I just don't have the spare cash to do it.
I would love to drop it most but I cannot justify £600 or thereabouts on the coilovers at present. One day though maybe...
Honestly though, credit where it's due buddy as yours is a very very sweet ZS.!

I have seen that thread and looked into the coilovers as yeah at £170 they are far more affordable but I don't always baby the car about and would be a bit worried that they wouldn't be upto te job once you start pushing the car harder.
Not sure on spring rates and so on as mine is the v6, it is something I keep thinking about but not sure whether to take the chance or wait until I can afford the proper setup if that ever happens lol.
Cheers for the pointer though.

JoeyTaffy93 25-09-12 09:39 AM

Your ZS looks stunning mate. I was never a fan on the Mk1 if I'm honest but seeing yours makes me have more faith in what I could do with my Mk1.

Lukeus101 25-09-12 04:27 PM

Glad ive inspired you :)

JoeyTaffy93 25-09-12 10:50 PM

:) I've got a long way to go before she starts looking any good. Haha.

Lukeus101 25-09-12 10:53 PM

Ive still got a long way to go with mine...no where near finished lol. Dam the modifying bug

JoeyTaffy93 25-09-12 10:55 PM

In comparison to mine... ;)

I lost all faith in mine as she's cost me a bomb to get running, was literally at the end of my tether with it then I saw this thread and it's basically made me decide not to give up and keep going.

Lukeus101 25-09-12 11:05 PM

good man! glad i managed to change your mind. If you need any help or advice give me a shout or chuck a thread up :) good bunch on here although i do recognise the name from .org

JoeyTaffy93 26-09-12 09:09 AM

You probably do. ;)

I've got you on Facebook so worst case scenario I'll bother you on there. :)

Lukeus101 07-10-12 10:15 PM

Subaru Impreza Seats in, aweful picture as they look pink in it. But they suit the rear monaco bench nicely. Not bad for a free mod :D

Dan1971 08-10-12 06:30 AM

They any better to sit in then ? Might be the one change that just on looks - I'm not so sure about ....

stamford 08-10-12 07:41 AM

They do look pink, not so sure as they don't look very racey. But as Dan said may be much better when up close.

Lukeus101 08-10-12 08:01 AM

They feel so much better than monaco's. Going to have a full wet vac today to bring the colour up a bit more :)

Lukeus101 08-12-12 02:24 PM
