i say keep the flaps... keep half wishing i had some on mine with the amount of crud that gets swept up!

love that colour tho!

Definately worth keeping flaps of some description. Have a look at MGZS-STE's, they are neat wee things and would do the job nearly as well:)

Stunning car Dan, just make sure you get the V5 back before selling ;)

Removed the MAF sensor tonight to fit a Pierberg unit. Was going well until I tried to fit the new one. Wrong end ! Gutted as I'd checked the forums all over the place to get the right part number and as it's an electrical item, non refundable.

Anyhooo ..... There's a sonsor on a wire on the old MAF and I thought - fairly sure it shouldn't look like that. Took a toothbrush to it and gently removed some really baked on grime and crud. Back to silver and replaced it.

Car seems better now. :beer2:

Just need to get the engine management light to turn off. Was thinking about disconnecting the battery for 30 mins or so. That should reboot the ecu too.

Will that clear the light do you reckon ?

I'd try just keep driving it for a few days, when we played with the EMG??? and then put it back, the light came on and after a bit went off.

Glad its feeling a bit more resposive, dont know how it was driven before but they do learn driving styles (I think)

if you touched the wire you may well have broken the unit, they are really sensitive to contamination\contact i heard.....

If it still revs up beyond 4K easily then you got away with it :)

i must assume yours is a MK2 to put the eML on, so 50 turns of the key should see it go away or get a cheap OBDII scanner to clear your codes as they work on post 04 cars :)
