So back to my car, the other day a few boxes turned up.. So I set about collecting all the bits I needed and then yesterday I spent the whole day stripping down the front end of the car and rebuilding it with the new parts.

Sorry no pictures, but the parts were a TTV Lightened flywheel, a brand new clutch from DMGRS and the gearbox I got from a member on here with LSD fitted.

Wow what a difference it has made! The car is much more responsive and sits at a lower rev on the motorway at cruising speeds.

Had a few issues, exhaust is in the way of two bolts for example, but worked through them and got it all done in a day. Now I am sunburnt in odd places (front of my legs only, underneith of my arms, one side of my face) all due to the odd angles you lay in when doing things like this on the drive! Oh and the bath turned a funny black colour when I lay in it last night!

Next month I will be ordering the special paint and hopefully booking it into the body shop for Bex to spray it up and sort out the paintwork once and for all!

Oh on the subject of paint... can anyone recommend a good Rotary or DA polisher that won't break the bank but will do a mirror like finish on the lacquer?

Also I am considering stainless manifolds, is Janspeed the only option? or can I get them custom built elsewhere?

Looks much better in person :) - You still popping over tomorrow?

That reminds me, I have sourced a new boot (in XPG, but hey) so I will be heading down to christchurch at some point this week to collect that :)

http://ttvracing.com/ Direct from them, they were very good and when you have both fly's next to each other the difference in weight is amazing!

2 good mods for a zed, lightened flywheel and torsen box.

Good to see it all gradually coming together.

*edit* Tony Law and Hayward & Scott have done v6 manifolds, I don't know if they are still available, or prices
