Probably because the hatch essentially is a civic lol

andys1981 08-12-12 04:33 PM

mot a fan of the different coloured wing mirrors but admit, that hatch looks amazing luke, well done mate

Lukeus101 08-12-12 04:34 PM

Im leaning back towards the solar red ones tbh, thanks though mate :)

andys1981 08-12-12 04:36 PM

me personally would keep them red,but each to there own buddy, lovely looking hatch!!

Lukeus101 08-12-12 04:38 PM

Craig-ZS180 09-12-12 05:02 PM

Still getting better Luke. Car always looks impressive buddy

Steven11 09-12-12 07:09 PM

Honest to god Luke. If there was a poll for top 5 zeds on this site, yours would easily be in my top 2. Stunning car. I love the way it sits and especially your wheels.

Lukeus101 10-12-12 05:06 AM

Cheers lads :) always nice to get such comments

Supercharged_Z 01-02-13 03:35 PM

this received my touch over the past few weeks

now has a type b diff and lightweight flywheel fitted :), also i replaced the center section as somebody had cut out the center box and welded tube in its place and it was just so raspy and loud, really not for me.

You should know me by now i'm not into big show of style cars so the white wheels were not me nor the stickers and white mirrors. I like subtle and sleek. The car needs raising a bit, the front end is just washed with orange peel where its had a poor respray but its not that noticeable.

It drives very nice for a 11 year old car. It does creek at the rear though not sure what just yet.

Yes I do have brake clearance lol

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29...ps1eb54a23.jpg

suprising how much camber is put on just through coilovers

Craig-ZS180 01-02-13 04:06 PM

Im so glad this one didnt end up being broken. This is my favourite hatch out there. I still think this looks awesome, even being more subtle it still has that wow factor for me.
I just love the way this one looks

peterzs 01-02-13 04:11 PM

Looking good, low and stealthy!!!

:-D:-D:-D

petet16 01-02-13 04:26 PM

Good looking car, the creaking from the the rear could be the arb mounts

kev mocko 01-02-13 04:47 PM

That looks really nice and subtle.I like the wheels they're different, mirrors look better too, whats it like on coilovers is it rough or not too bad?

Supercharged_Z 01-02-13 04:53 PM

It's ok on the road but the dampers are set to very soft it handles very well but it bounces like a boat due to the soft dampers. I would not recommend coilovers for the road

WalkerDnB 01-02-13 04:59 PM

still looks smart I do like lots or stickers though lol
why didnt you just have the wheels powder coated a dark colour rather than change them?

Because those are nice wheels?

I am so pleased to see that this car is still in one piece, are you keeping it?

Dan1971 01-02-13 05:46 PM

Nice ... far prefer the red and black look ...

each to there own I guess I dont dislike the alloys I just loved the white ones

I cant comment really Im on mk2 alloys like every one else lol

Supercharged_Z 01-02-13 06:23 PM

white wheels on uk roads with lots of brake dust? 18's on a 35 profile?

you need to be clean mad, and not mind your fillings comming out if you have them.

To me 17's on the zs ride much nicer, the 18's rubbed on full lock anyway and really were not for me :)

Craig-ZS180 01-02-13 07:04 PM

I loved the way Luke got this one looking as I do like those touches he put on but I also really like the way it looks now. It's one of those situations where we would each put our own little touches on this car to keep the specialness of it but also make it that little bit more out own.
I personally think in either setup this car looks awesome, have said it before and no doubt will say it again. Didnt initially like the wheels on bigfellas / your old green one, to me didn't suit it but where this one is lowered on them I think they work wonders.

Still rather envious of this car and think always will be lol. Only thing would say is what's happened to the cupra splitter as now looks like its bowing down in the middle?

Supercharged_Z 01-02-13 07:31 PM

yeah the wheels on the green car did not look good at all, on this car they look great to me anyway.

the splitter is comming off, i lent it to a mate for a few weeks and it came back like that but you have to remember with it being so low you cannot park above a curb in a car part as it just smashes the splitter and i think it has here, no practical lol.

I loved this car when Luke had it very clean etc, but as i say the whole in your face thing is not me, i prefer the quiet but looks nice look :)

Craig-ZS180 01-02-13 08:08 PM

I think it looks great too. I like the in your face look but also the more subtle and aggressive look that its now got. The moody black and red does look very nice on the hatch.
Yeah I wasn't sure about the wheels when I saw them for sale but they definitely suit this one, I liked the 18's a lot but not for daily use.
Looking great, keep it up Ross as it keeps impressing.
I'm looking for a splitter for mine as bit as low as that one but haven't been sure weather to go for a cupra one or Laguna. At that height though you could take it of in every car park lol. Not so good.

Supercharged_Z 02-02-13 08:25 AM

pic of the damaged radiator, i have no idea how it hasn't exploded also it was lucky that it did not stop the cam pully from turning which often happens

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29...ps72a1a415.jpg

mind the gap
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29...psbc2ea039.jpg

if you look over the car you can then notice gap differences on the passenger side
look at where the wing meets the door
http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29...ps1eb8ff98.jpg

and look at where the rear door meets the rear quarter the adjusters are wound in fully

talkingcars 02-02-13 10:37 AM

I did wonder about the gaps in the pictures you posted yesterday.
