Cool-thats what I thought...

Well so far I've got:

A set of 17" straights with tyres
All badging bar the ZS boot script
MkI grille (to paint)
MkI 'Technical' inserts for dash and door cards
MkI 'Technical' heater surrounds and ashtray
MG ZS steering wheel and airbag

Hopefully got a set of dial faces coming too. Not a bad start! With any luck I might be able to collect the car this weekend, too.

Picked up the car this morning, started fine and left it to run and get upto temp before driving off. All seems fine, although the gearshift feels a little looser than on the ZS-I wonder if the Zed uses a different shift-like a Qwikshift on a Mini?

Plenty of scrapes and scratches were the previous (elderly) owner got into a few dings but with some effort 99% of them have come out. I still don't have the internet at home, I will try and get some pics up ASAP.

Inside has cleaned up pretty well, the Rover CD player works and sounds pretty good, the seats feel much higher than in a ZS and nowhere near as supportive! The electric sunroof is a nice touch!

I think the heater resistor needs sorting, the heater blows on 2,3 and 4 but doesn't work on 1! It's got about 40 foot of cable in the boot for the 3rd party reversing sensors (which are whisper quiet!) so I need to bin them! There's a small crack on the back bumper too.

So, a few little jobs to do, not a bad start!
