Here's some pics of a bumper I'm repairing at the moment, the damage was very similar to that on your's, the crush can had been forced through the bumper, splitting it and leaving a hole.

Is that some kind of resin? I might but the bits back and attempt a fix!

It's a plastic bumper repair kit, you can get them from ebay, the kit has everything you need to do the repair |

Looks a good repair kit, better than buying a new bumper!!

Just an update on this:
Today the insurers rang and said that the cost of fixing the car exceeds the value so they've written it off. I've now got two options. £1575 and they take the car. Or £1165.50 and I keep the car. Well pissed off as its a no fault claim and figured they would fix it and then just reclaim from the third party. But I got the phonecall at work and my head wasn't screwed on right so I said I would mull it over. What's your views? Try and get more for it? |
some folk will say dont accept the first offer,me personally would keep the car and take the money, that way you can sort the zs and still have it on the road, and your insurance will be payed for the rest of the year etc,but thats just my opinion mate

Keep the car, will still sell for 800 ish with bumper damage
|
Keep the car and try and get a bit more cash out of them.

It sounds like a fair offer to be honest, I'd take it and keep it :)
Did they say if it would be Cat C or D. |
