wd40 and a plastic scraper gets rid of the old foam pad pretty well, then a wipe over with panel wipe or meths before you fit the new one.

I have bought the stainless kick plates too, already have the rear but waiting the front from Rimmerbros.
How did you achieve that ? Did you remove the plastic plate first or just drill ? |

The Mk1 black plastic had drilled holes in it already so was quite easy to sort. |
I was wondering about the early door cards with the mk2 dash, definatly a bit classer.

I'm also sending a bit of mk1 dash trim to dazzer to see if he can get some vinyl of the same colour so I can wrap the mk2 dash the same as the mk1's colour to match it in a bit better. I think it's similar to XPG so i could spray the dasy pieces. but I'd like it to be a good match amd finish so it all looks like it was there from factory. |
There is a paint code somewhere.

There is!
http://www.themgzs.co.uk/vb/showthre...rim+paint+code And it came from your thread. Was it the correct colour code when you had bought it? |
