Aerodeck / ZS
 

Has anyone on here seen the latest Aerodeck / MK2 ZS conversion? I know it's been done before with a mk1 ZS looks and an unkitted mk2, but this is a kitted mk2 and the chap has even installed a KV6! Looks pretty good so far.

Is that the one on Facebook? MG Rover should have made an Estate ZS!

It's a dark blue one from memory.

I'm not sure on the estates really to be honest but fair play to the guy for doing it. :)

That's the one, sprayed up all in one colour it'll look pretty good.

i did see an unfinished one go up for sale on ebay a few years ago. the body work was done but not painted. The rear number plate had been moved down to the bumper like on a MK2 and he'd even got the rear body kit to fit pretty good.

I think the car sold for about £500 as an unfinished project. Was tempted myself as could see the potential but it still had the honda interior, dash and it was an automatic honda something or other engine.

Honda didn't give MG-Rover the rights or tooling to make an estate ZS because it was based off the Civic

Rover got the saloon instead. Honda didn't make the saloon.

But they did get a coupe :(

Looks better with the mk2 grill. With a 180 engine in there id really like one.

V6 is awesome...but I would have gone for a mad B18 or K20 setup

Although hes done it, Its not even got MK2 dash or rear end.

Could it be done with the coupe?

I like that, but smaller engine would make it more practical.... It's my age :sorry:

what would we looking at here? A cut and shut style job, or a Honda Aerodeck shell that's been rebuilt with MG bits? The front end and engine bay looks too original!

No the coupe is based off the EK shell, the aerodeck is the DC shell which is the one the 400 was based off iirc

So is that an "its impossible" ? or a "it would be very difficult" ? :whistle:

It would be possible but you would want to be very handy with a welder
