The whole badge, or just the insert ?, if it's just the insert Daz from Locking Vinyl does a fine job.

andys1981 11-09-14 05:29 PM

yip get them from daz at locking vinyl, you wont be dissapointed.

If you just get the insert, how do you go about replacing the old badge? Peel it out? I could do with a set.

andys1981 11-09-14 06:47 PM

yeah its just a metal insert, take that off give it a good clean up with tar/glue remover, before refitting new badge.

Perfect thanks

Strange how they are difficult to find one week, then loads appear the next! I just bought one from here:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MG-rear-bo...-/301285646755

Neither item mentions the OEM part number. I'm wondering if they're knock-offs? We'll see what arrives..

I've bought this badge a while ago, but never fitted it.
I don't like it, it doesn't quite look like the OE one, but it is full enamel, so much stronger I reckon.

That doesn't look like the one in the listing. The chrome border looks too thick.

Sorry, I meant the first item. That 2nd one is definitely a reproduction.

Erm you're right, it's not the same item. The one I bought i no longer listed.

On my first pic, the one on the left is the OE badge, still on the boot lid.

I bought enamel ones from shorter 12 on the bay, they've lasted a lot better than the originals

If the feedbacks are good on these ebay badges, I think I might change mine. I currently have a ZR one on mine so it doesn't quite have the curvature for the ZS saloon boot. I ended up with the ZR MG badge because many years ago you couldn't get a mk2 ZS saloon badge for love nor money and my original was peeling away.

this is what I have on mine and the issue with the zr one is that dirt gets behind the badge as it isn't curved so a gap is left at the top of the badge.

I'd like a new one for the ZS really. a proper oem one.
