Red 180 on ebay

Saw this on Ebay while browsing. Looks like a good buy for someone. Mk2, 2004, 36,000 miles, £1500.

Skillen 02-12-12 10:45 PM

Saw that before, but was put off by standard spoiler and seats :/

Was watching this one and the. Forgot about it!
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/vie...d=271110484883

Dunno if it had belts done but its a cheap one!

Smokey 02-12-12 10:45 PM

andys1981 03-12-12 12:23 AM

dida4g 03-12-12 06:44 AM

Very nice, makes me want a bodykit for mine.

Dan1971 03-12-12 06:48 AM

Being a hatch is the best thing going for it ... ;)

Does look nice...

Ippon 03-12-12 07:10 AM

WOW ..... missed this one ... there is a relisted Black 180 in Buxton .... but has an ugly towbar, and torn driver seat .... and carpets look "worn" .... doesn't reflect well on the owner

littlened 03-12-12 07:23 AM

The red one looks lovely, but the saloons look so much better.

The black one looks ok, but the damage to the seat puts me off, it also looks a little rough around the edges in comparison to the red one.

ZRed 03-12-12 09:36 AM

I love the hatchbacks.

mattie007 03-12-12 10:12 AM

Not a fan of mk1 hatches but mk2's with the kit look very nice.

whats wrong with a hatchs back end?

Smokey 03-12-12 12:12 PM

Goldie, buy this hatch and sell me your yellow saloon lol

littlened 03-12-12 01:19 PM

I've just had another look at the ebay add for the red one, and when you click to contact the seller it comes up with...

internet vehicle auctions
Shaw Road
Speke
Liverpool
Merseyside
L24 9JT

In the ad it looks like it's a private seller, but then the address is an industrial estate.

littlened 03-12-12 01:27 PM

Emailed the seller for some more information, also asked if he accepts part-exchange for an MG TF :(

littlened 03-12-12 02:09 PM

Seller must be private, doesn't do part exchange.

Does anyone think this car is too cheap? I mean 36,000 mile on it.

Dan1971 03-12-12 02:16 PM

Not too cheap - but cheap enough to deal with any issues that it may have. The seller may well be awar eof others that have sold for less or is simply keen to sell. Lets face it - Jays went from £2200 to £1200 in a week coz he saw a car he wanted.

I'll wager the belts have not been done - so there's £500 straight away, and the tailpipe looks like a pea shooter so there's a few quid to spend straight away if you want to make it more expensive

Yeh probably not.

I'm really tempted, it's just the travelling, it's almost 3 hours there and three hours back.

I could take the train, but even that's 3 hours and £60 for a ticket!!!

Grow a pair :) I'm on a plane to pick mine up on Wednesday!

Going to speak to the wife tonight as I'll need to borrow the money out of our savings until I sell the TF.

Hopefully I'll get £1500 for the TF
I'm selling a VVC head, engine loom, ecu, gasket set, tensioner and timing belt to convert a TF 135 to a VVC 160, that should raise £400
Going to sell a remote control car, hopefully £250
My laptop £200
and finally this ZS I have once it's running right, maybe £500
TOTAL: £2850

If I get a car for £1500, that leaves about £1300 and that can go towards the baby fund.

You know where yours is coming from though ....

littlened 03-12-12 04:25 PM

I'm torn between a ZS or a ZT 190
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...1500?logcode=p

Came across this ZT for £1200

Ippon 03-12-12 04:58 PM

I'm really after a Mk2, and I'd have to rip the wood trim out.

littlened 03-12-12 05:26 PM

I found this ZT 190 on ebay, Mk2 £1150
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...1500?logcode=p

They don't mention mileage, so I'm presuming it's very high. I sent them an email yesterday but they've not got back to me.

Dan1971 03-12-12 05:59 PM

Mate a ZT and a ZS are miles apart.

ZT is far more refined and comfortable. ZS is just a shed load more raw fun.

You need to decide what you want it for and go try them before you buy one.

I can't fit a ZT in the garage, so I think that more or less rules it out.

Dan1971 03-12-12 07:01 PM

ZT width - 70.5 inches
ZS width - 66.9 inches

ZT length - 187.4 inches
ZS length - 172.4 inches

ZT is 15inches longer and only 3.6 inches wider ..... You sure it won't fit but a ZS will ..... ?
.

The ZS 'just' fits, with no room to spare.

littlened 03-12-12 07:16 PM

Well, I've put my much loved TF up for sale tonight :(

Put it on pistonheads this morning, and I'll put it on autotrader later today.

littlened 04-12-12 08:01 AM

I've emailed the guy about the red one, just letting him know I'm trying to sort a lift out for the weekend to go and see it, and if he needs a deposit to hold it.

The wife could take me down on Sunday, but with her being pregnant I really don't fancy her driving all that way. So I've asked the father in law, see if he's free.

littlened 04-12-12 08:07 AM

ah bollox, it's no longer on ebay!! I bet it's sold!!

petet16 04-12-12 08:13 AM

It looks like it sold for £1500

I honestly didn't think it would sell that quick, I was ready to stick a deposit down.

Absolutely gutted.

There's this one...
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...ge/2?logcode=p

but it's much further away, and to be honest, the exhaust and speaker in the boot + lack of mats put me off.

Tempted to see if this ZT is still for sale, although I don't know how I get it home without any tax.
