Students project car..
At the end of the year our students get to choose a car & in their grops, they need to get the vehicle running & in full working order.
They grabbed an Escort, which was in a sorry state. They got it running, "modified" a few bits here & there & basically had a bit of fun with it! http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...84959737_o.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...06911549_o.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...45914190_o.jpg High end audio install... http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...78687803_o.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...00919546_n.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...87872024_n.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...00147581_n.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...11938256_n.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...91769891_n.jpg http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...11173896_n.jpg |

My old college (clydebank college) had a track car project when I was there in 2005 and It was a rover coupe turbo which was took up to knockhill and at the time my bro had a fast nova and used to get a good race with it... Then once I left the college they done something to it to make it proper quick.. But it fell away due to funds I think then they tried doing the same with a modifying project with a similar escort.

These guys are just foundation students, so level 1 next year, with a further 2 years after that. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2 |
I have to say your college does look well set up, a good amount of cars there
|
We have a regular supply of decent scrappers. Struck a deal with a local scrap dealer who donates the cars, providing he gets them back! Good recycling! We have a much bigger, state of the art workshop where the higher level students progress to. Cars over there include a ZS180, a new mini & a year old Phantom donated by Rolls Royce.

Dear god Mick... could you not actually steer these kids in the right direction ?

It was their choice Dan! It was either that, a fiesta or a micra!

As it happens, I've got the viper stripes sitting in the shed .... soon as I work out how to get the spoiler off, they'll be going on ! Hopefully for Duxford. Great work on the Escort though. Got some quality cars there for them to work on too. |

1235cc ( always bragged about that) and 5 speed box, mint car too, one of the ones i should never have sold ! Managed to blow the head gasket doing off the clock speeds down the M25 at reigate heading to junction 7 iirc (m23), pulled in to tesco at horley to find i had burst the heater matrix pipe...fixed that, then a week later the rad filled with oil and it blew the top hose... Ahh those where the days. |
Ah, Hookwood Tesco. Many a juvenile burn out in that big old car park!
