Sweet cheers for the photos guys, decisions decisions... think I need to see how much to fix the seats too, anyone had theirs done?

stamford 12-09-12 01:41 PM

I did my own, used the ZS runners and seatbelt mounts so as to use the standard seatbelt and a harness. Bought some 30x6mm mild steel and made 2 off brace bars between the two runners and this was what the seat bolted to (bottom mount type seat).

Best check to make sure if using a side mount that it is okay to pass the current MOT regulations as this type is usually fixed.

I put these in the track car:

And have custom made these for the mk2 180 from the original leather:

Cheap bucket seats are great for the track but can be back breaking on long journey's.

Cheers

Couldn't agree more there Paul, hence why I reverted back to the original seats as I found the Forza's killing my already poor back on long runs. A case of getting old and accepting it!

The track car seats are hellish after only 30 mile journeys l@l

Recliners are pretty comfy tbf

I gutted the zs runners and welded a frame to them and bolted the universal runners to the frame

if that makes no sense here are some pics

Looks good. yeah these are recliners just because they were meant to go in a three door I no longer own, they seem pretty comfy

Love those adapted runners. Wish I could weld. I've had to settle for bolting onto the original sliders but I'm still sat a little higher than I'd like.
