what zs would £1100 get me?
as per title. just interested to see what kind of zs would be within reach on that budget?
cheers, simon |
It pains for me to say this but you can pick up some bargins now. You maybe lucky and find one that has had its belts done and just requires a bit of tidying. Or a really nice one that needs the belts doing. Keep looking in all the usual places, something will turn up.
Your prob better off stretching to £1500 to pick up a decent one. As mick says there are some real bargins out there.
I am not sure if you are looking for a 120 or a 180, but here is what can be had for 1500 quid. It is such a shame these cars are now going for silly money! :(

It isnt great the prices they are attracting, but at least it means that there are plenty about for the enthusiasts out there, maybe even 2 if you fancy it haha!
get one Si, you know you want too!
yeah i want yours man!
a 180 would be nice for the weekends.
£1500 is just an offensive price, I've seen 206's go for more than that! If you see one for that price I wouldn't hesitate.
at that price you will only get "fixer uppers" at best. you will probably end up having to spend the same again restoring its looks, performance and servicing, false ecconomy in the long run. Better off finding a bit more cash and getting a cherished one.
Mine is for sale! Have a look and let me know - http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2992878.htm
Its a lovely car! Graham |
I picked up a Mk1 180 with history loads of extras full kit and on a 03 plate for ?1500 and it was fantastic, look about there are some really good cars at stupid prices out there.
If you go for a 180 make sure the cam belts have been changed otherwise it will cost about half your car budget to get it done. :D
OP was over a year ago so if he ain't got one yet ......
edit now I see its an old post.
Yeh if he hasnt found one he likes after a year he never will. You would get a really nice mk1 for ?1100 there is a low miles cat d mk2 on piston heads for ?1350 http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2984903.htm There arnt many cars worth less than a 180 on a year for year bassis. |

LPGs and diesels will be bound to hold their value during these hard times. Great all round package.
God knows what I'd get for mine - 06 plate 115 diesel - all the kit - full leather - belts done - 40K - standard at the minute but a few engine mods to come. Not that I'm planning on selling up mind..... |
