Purchased another 180 (3 on the go now)

Yup, had an email from someone (obviously seen me through facebook) and said come look at it

Been sat for a couple of months, but nothing a little TLC wouldn't fix

Y reg, 90k on clock, 000457 build number, cambelts done this year, backbox blowing, also said he had a chaffing noise turning left diagnosed as diff bearing???

Other than that, looks fine tbh

Trophy Blue, windows look to be tinted slightly also

Bumpers in minty condition and interior in mighty fine condition too (half blue leather) typical markign on bolster, but bolsters have NOT collapsed!!!!

picking up Tuesday night after work (need someone to drive mine home!!)

Lukeus101 15-09-12 07:24 PM

How much you get it for? :)

Smokey 15-09-12 07:32 PM

Good price?

James Raby 15-09-12 07:40 PM

I suppose I could class £300 a gpod price!!

Lukeus101 15-09-12 07:43 PM

:o nooooooooo bargain!

andys1981 15-09-12 07:50 PM

well done james!

James Raby 15-09-12 08:07 PM

Thought it worth that in spares, did have a quick look at the thermostat, looks suspect tbh, but did it only a few weeks ago so no big deal (if it stays in one piece!)

KirkJames 15-09-12 10:14 PM

I might be about on Tuesday mate, I will check with the missus to make sure she hasn't arranged some plans I am completely unaware of ;)

James Raby 15-09-12 10:31 PM

Bargain! So cheap, its almost free!

(As an ex 'plod' driving without tax or mot is risky indeed! Can you not arrange a garage mot appointment, & drive to this??

talkingcars 16-09-12 09:44 AM

Yes - book an MOT with a garage the otherside of where you are taking the car to.....

Make sure that if it was MOTed and taxed that it is insured.

mikey d 16-09-12 10:23 AM

wouldn't mind a 180 engine and loom if there's one going guys?

James Raby 16-09-12 04:57 PM

I am looking into transportation for it, I need to diagnose this chaffing sound ideally, cos if mkaor surgery needed, parts it is

Stev180 16-09-12 07:17 PM

Stev180 16-09-12 10:05 PM

Sorry mate I miss read lol

stamford 17-09-12 07:18 AM

I would advise against driving the car unless pre-booked for an MOT, otherwise tow it by means of dolly or trailer. Not something you should really be mentioning on here really ;)

I thought that never know if the popo are watching and I think a few members on here are police officers
some people would just swap the plate from another similar car say from another ty zs (I should point out that Im not some people )
I dont think booking an mot will work unless your driving to the mot station tbh.

James Raby 17-09-12 03:25 PM

after speaking with various people today (including my local garage) even at the purchase price he seems to think MOT'ing it would be an idea as its worth more anyway after ive done TLC work on it

Dan1971 17-09-12 03:56 PM

If I were you - I'd book the MOT. You can then drive it, so long as it's insured, to the MOT centre. I'm fairly sure that after the test you could drive it home even if it failed in order for repairs to be carried out.
