Brands Hatch anyone ?

Wednesday 30th September 2009. Taster 20 minute sessions for £25.

http://www.clubmsv.com/car-home/even...?productid=190

I'm not volunteering to organise us as a group, you just book the session you want and turn up, but perhaps post the fact that you've booked and if we collectively book one of the three sessions, it'd be a bit of a giggle.

I just fancy going along, and wondered if anyone else does. Last time out for me went a bit sour with the coolant issues in my ZT-T. And with a better suited car I'd get a bit more out of it..... :w00t:

Phate 05-08-09 09:06 PM

If I can get off work early I'll do a late sesh :)

You booking up Dan?

Once a few people give a clue as to what session would suit best.

Lets make a start ... if more would be suited for a later session, I'll vote for a late one.

So.

Dan1971. 1810 session. Unconfirmed.

Derv's go well on the track, great fun and all the ZS guys drive well, I only use 3rd & 4th gears once you get going.

I got a MAF box from Rover Ron but I dont know if it makes much differance, is it just the sensor??

Give it a go, if we both go the others wont be able to see throgh the smoke screen.:tease::tease::tease::tease:

I'm the first to book for the whole day apparently ! They take 20 cars per session, so 19 spaces remain for the 18.10.

Cheers

I presume you are only doing one session not the whole day as there are only 2 sessions available ?

I may well come along too

I think there are 3 sessions available mate ....

I just went for the 1810 to allow travel to it from work and a bit of a watch and stand around before the briefings etc .... I'll be wearing a coat this time though ! I reckon 20 mins is enough for me ....and the car !

Dan1971 01-09-09 02:25 PM

Bump ... Just got back from 2 weeks away and expected a few additions ...

Phate 01-09-09 03:15 PM

I'm not booking anything till I know whats happening with work! I'd like to though :)

I MIGHT be able to get to brands for 1810 but I'd have to leave work bang on time and travel at highly illegal speeds to do it :p

Dan1971 19-09-09 04:57 PM

Bump .....

Dan1971 19-09-09 09:19 PM

Oi.......

Is it only going to be Pete and I going....

Come on, someone has to challenge us old guys!! We only have a yellow diesel and a clapped out ebay bargain!

:punk:

stamford 20-09-09 10:17 AM

I'd love to give it one last bang before being layed up but I won't be here I'll be thousands of miles away! :D

Phate 20-09-09 10:20 AM

If I'm employed I'll do it :p

Phate 20-09-09 10:57 AM

I can supply said video camera..

peterzs 20-09-09 02:36 PM

It's only 20 minutes mate and you need only push as hard as you feel comfortable. No-one there is gonna be doin flying laps .... Well except Pete maybe !

Sounds like an excuse already!!!:hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm:

will-w 22-09-09 09:31 AM

I can't push it at all, the second I even try and put my foot down the turbo makes a nasty sound so I pull back... That's what happens when a useless exhaust company (soon to be X-Part exhaust supplier) put a 57mm exhaust on a car that's suppose to have a 65mm!!!

will-w 26-09-09 07:50 PM

Ok guys, well unless I manage to materialise a new 2.5" decat and mid section out of thin air before Wednesday, I will not be making it... which really really sucks!! :(

Will make the next one, if there's one that is!!

peterzs 26-09-09 11:57 PM

I'm there Dan!!!!

We were up in the Lakes and driving roung Windamere, funny grunching noise from the brakes, thought grit had got under a pad, as I was supposed to have had new front disks and pads and rear pads fitted a year ago. Anyhow did some hard braking, reversed and braked, noise getting worse, so checked all the disks and the rear o/s was bu**ered.

Went into Kendal and found a National garage and got a price of £160 for rear disks and pads, got him down to £140.

At least I know the brakes are now OK for Brands, the rear o/s was rusted solid and only working on one pad, this had gone down to the metal!!!

I've got a set of front and rear pads in the garage ready to fit, doh!!!!:clap::clap:

will-w 27-09-09 07:31 AM

I'm rather annoyed as I've got a 180 brake setup, and some braided hoses ready to go on for Brands, but because of a stupid useless exhaust company (Klarius Ltd) I won't be able to make it :(

Hi Will, we will give you a 30 sec start if that helps, though its not a race and you can go round as fast or as slow as you like.:clap::clap:

Dan1971 27-09-09 12:14 PM

Looking forward to this. I mentioned it to a lad at work who's got old clapped out 924. He said he might come along.

Pete ... At least you'll be able to stop before running into the back of me .. !
