theMGZS.co.uk track car competition.

OK, here it is.

I need a website vinyl for the ZS I'm getting from Andy.

Now I need a design that will fit across both doors.

It needs to be simplistic in its design and promote the website.

It has to be mainly white with a dash of colour if desired.

It should be like a website banner (and who knows, it might get adopted as the site logo!)

I will make an attempt at one in the next couple of days and post it up.

Once all entries are in, I will put up a vote thread!!

I was thinking along the lines of a hand sketched graphic using the site font, needs some colour but only a hand drawn 1st draft btw.

'Track it!'

StragglaSteve 16-08-10 09:50 AM

what colour is the car its going on? will help me with my choice of colours ;)

Smokey 16-08-10 10:53 AM

Tahiti blue. A royal blue colour.

And Stamford, you have some skills!

That was after a good session!

Maxxed_Ross 16-08-10 12:27 PM

don't mind putting one on mine too, as long as it's not too big

Smokey 16-08-10 09:56 PM

This is from Kev's signature. Something like this with a mk1 and website would maybe suit.

Needs to be simple and identifiable.

Anyone want to try?

grimmy 17-08-10 08:44 AM

Looking good Kev, my fave so far as its simple but effective, would need a wee fine tune but love it.

Dave ZS-X 17-08-10 06:00 PM

dang it, what a dissapointment, when i read the title i was envisaging multiple drivers paying for a session each with a data logger on board and then at the end of the day seein whos quickest, lol.
Data loggers are usually accepted at trackdays (as long as your not blatantly discussing your times over lunch in the canteen) and it adds another exciting dimension to the day when compareing speeds, lines, braking points and sector / lap times.....also means no one can b.s about how fast they are...or are not, lol.

I will however have an inboard HD video recording of everyone so we will still know laptimes etc at the end

and kev, you got that pic in a saloon at all?

BUCKYDEVIL 17-08-10 06:53 PM

I like the Design Kev put up, but Black outline wouldnt show up well on the track car,
Would be better in white or something and saloon outline.

Smokey 17-08-10 07:09 PM

Would defo be in White as the car is Tahiti blue! Would just invert the colours though

Jay-ZS+ 17-08-10 07:39 PM

Heres my thought quite simple

Absolutely awesome. Am sure I've seen that somewhere before though? Your location is wrong though as number plate will be on front door. Should run parallel with the window and end at above the rear arch.

Love the Photoshop though

KevG 17-08-10 08:24 PM

Not a ZS saloon, but a R45 2005> Saloon with a slight add on.

Craig 17-08-10 09:21 PM

Spot on mate, I really like that!

grimmy 17-08-10 09:39 PM

i know its the wrong car but it's more of a concept and done on forza and the year this site was founded
http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...andlerashx.jpg

Smokey 17-08-10 09:57 PM

Is the Scottish theme fair though :s

grimmy 17-08-10 10:00 PM

owners are Scottish car is Scottish and if the guys down south do something similar a St georges cross could be done as well, like i said its just a concept and the cars colour lends itself to it.

Smokey 17-08-10 10:03 PM

Lol I don't remember us Scottish members owning it lmao, English are welcme too!!

andys1981 17-08-10 10:10 PM

car was from inverness orginally mate, canny mind where craig got it fi,but a saltire should be on her at least!!

Smokey 17-08-10 11:10 PM

Roofs probably a better idea then

stamford 18-08-10 07:26 AM

That reminds of the Ecurie Ecosse team colours, didn't there used to be a couple running roof tops saltire in the BTCC, Cavalier iirc.

Yeah i am sure cleland had some sort of saltire thing going as did David Leslie.Gordon Shedden had a saltire on his roof recently while Matt Neal had the flag of StGeorge on his car.

Maxxed_Ross 21-08-10 05:00 PM
