your finally gunna start that hairdressing business then:joker:
|
|
 laugh it up pretty boy! :chair:
short back and sides okay? :joker: Jim |
£0.99 Bargain...........:weirdo:
|
I'm tempted........where is Arkwright when you need him?!?
:hmmm: oh yeah! :drunk:  Jim |
I'm here (home) now. I left work early (just before your post) and have only just come back on-line.
Have to say, I don't like the seats. The suspension could do with being dropped a bit. The crack across the front of the bumper worries me a bit - has the front been hit? |
Quote:
Sod the seats Ralph........they will be going on ebay along with the rest of the interior......I was gonna strip the lot out ready for track. Hmmm......there isn't anything behind that bumper is there?? What do you think? couldn't watch it for me could ya? Jim |
If anyone spots an MGF that is looking neat and tidy paintwork wise but with a scruffy interior and/or dead engine going cheap (approx £500) let me know.....
If you can take pictures of the car that would be good too :) I have a side project in mind. If someone offers me very good money for my ZS I may be tempted to sell it :D Jim |

Lots of thoughts on what to do at the minute......try swapping my car for someones MGF or sell my car then look for an MGF. Thing is......I can't afford to run two cars......we shall see. Jim |
Not for a hair dressers choice of cars Jim. Thats very bad. Knew you were hungarian!

Granville :D |
Please accept my appologies. Next time you split up I promise not to take you around the track in one of my cars ;)
The cheapest decent F I've found so far is £1,795. BTW If anyone thinks the F is a hair dresser's car I am prepared to take them for a passenger ride at any track day that I'm on to disprove this! :rb::excl: |
Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
I've just seen your new avatar, Jim. :noexpression: |
Quote:
Mmmm I have been looking on ebay tonight and I am wondering whether I should be looking in the FreeAds...... I strongly advise peeps NOT to go in the F..........main reason......ITS MY TURN AGAIN :mml: Jim |
Quote:
You want me to put my helmet back on??? Oh okay I go change back into The Big Stig then :D Jim |
:spam:Maybe I should scare everyone by posting a picture of myself up! :spam:

Then people can recognise you easier when you walking around shows and stuff I guess......either that......or they find me and 9 times out of 10 I know where you are  Jim |
Ralph!!!!!!
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2001-Y-MG-MGF-...QQcmdZViewItem Lookie lookie! :D and the same Yellow Trophy 160 is down to £3990 in Rainham ;) Jim |
Looks quite cool. Not sure on the yellow interior bits.
|
Quote:
In theory.......buying the MGF Trophy 160 it already has the good bits on it so there won't be lots for me to do to it really. Here is what I am thinking :D http://www.turbotechnics.com/docs/cars/mgf.htm Jim |
If you are gonna build a fast car. Start with a quick one. Like your thinking. They do look cool stripped out ready for racing.

yeah but..........
LOOK AT THIS BEAUT! :D :w00t: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1995-MG-MGF-RE...QQcmdZViewItem Jim What a beast eh! Supercharger on and there we go 200bhp mid engine RWD........only another £6000 on top of that £1000 and I got myself a right little raver :D |
That looks quite good. Nice early one (avoid cars built in 97 - 98 if possible). Long way to go, though.
|
Yeah  I need to go rob a bank really.
Other than that.........sneak into the bank and take out some cash from my savings account and don't tell my folks I have bought another car  I would need to SORN it though and hide it somewhere  By the time I have stripped it and fiddled with it I reckon it would be very good fun! :D All that would be needed would be a big brake conversion and some head work on the engine......oh sod it. Here........have my credit card again  Jim |

:hmmm:just do some extra cuts on the weekend:greedy: |

That is perfect! Although I reckon that will easily sell for £1000+ by the time bidding is over  Ain't he online yet? Jim |
|
It's only been listed so i'd say it will go up a fair bit too. What i would say though is resist bidding until as late as possible so as not to generate interest and they put only your max bid. ;)
|
Trying to build up a car from a bare shell is nuts! I would do it if I had another MGF donating its organs and some panels but to build that up but I haven't got another F.
I will keep an eye on the green one......and if it doesn't go up much I may go to the bank pronto! I'm not in a position to be spending money really......but I need to look now in case I miss a bargain that won't come up very often. Jim |
just asked how much he would take for it, he said 1250 but i rekon you could get ir for £1000
just keep and eye on the auction ;) |

I'd sooner strip the interior out, replace the glass with perspex etc........and make some money that way. Ideally I could do with paying £600 and thats it though. Jim |
