it is a nice car john, but couldnt you buy a spoiler seperatley? and i cant beleive your still looking lol.

chriszs180 05-11-07 10:58 AM

spoilers come up for £100 / £150 all the time on ebay i think ross has a company he got his from and they had some on the shelf in different colours... £130 i think he paid

car looks good and is a good price i paid more and mine is 6months older.......... i had less miles though..

arwilson80 05-11-07 11:17 AM

Yeah, I'm sure the spoiler would be easy to source.

Maxxed_Ross 05-11-07 11:26 AM

I got mine from Roverbrakers, I just phoned them up and asked. Apparently they still have a few left in varying colours. I got the last Ignition Blue one though!

£125 delivered and another £40 to get it fitted :lttd:

Southern Storm 05-11-07 11:40 AM

Almost tempted to sell mine and buy a mk 2 dammit.

arwilson80 05-11-07 11:41 AM

That's about the same milage and price i paid for mine in Feb. Mine didn't have the 11 disc changer though.

It looks to be in very good condition as well.

stamford 05-11-07 12:16 PM

Go for it! The spoiler will come in time.

Maxxed_Ross 05-11-07 02:23 PM

it's a bargain, I'd buy it!

You're actually better off buying one without the big wing as it comes with the lip spoiler, IMO the lip and the big wing look great together

ZS180V6 05-11-07 03:54 PM

Nice car good colour.

Would need to ask a few questions obviously (i.e. not Cat D etc).

Good luck - make an offer !!

john180 05-11-07 04:47 PM

well i emailed roverbreakers and they dont have one.

its 240 miles away from me but im very tempted to make an offer.

lukiep160 05-11-07 05:17 PM

go fetch it thats all i'm saying

john180 05-11-07 06:31 PM

i think its got the big thumbs up sp far lol

Maxxed_Ross 06-11-07 06:04 AM

what Roverbrakers did you try, remember there's more than one

john180 06-11-07 04:59 PM

i sent a email to the roverbreakers.com contact form on the website.

Maxxed_Ross 06-11-07 05:01 PM

ah same as me then, that's weird I'm sure the guy said he had a few

john180 06-11-07 05:44 PM

yeah me 2. how u finding yours compared to the zr? whats running costs like etc?

Maxxed_Ross 06-11-07 05:53 PM

awsome is the only word for it!

Running cost are a bit higher but I expected that, if you drive sensible it's no worse and economy on the motorway is fantastic!

Even tho mine is a mk1 the difference between the two are night and day! Handling is far better than the zr on avos. Build quality is much better, no rattle and squeaks now :D The difference in power and torque is fantastic. Feels much more solid than my zr ever did.

I do a fair bit of motorway driving and I have had to drop 10mph or so on my usual cruising speed. Driving at 70mph is pretty economical.

Maxxed_Ross 06-11-07 06:10 PM

£100 probably

Southern Storm 06-11-07 10:48 PM

Fuel economy is heavy.......... If you are heavy footed. Restrained and cruising it is no worse than my old 1.8 16Valve corrado. The whole car feels more finished than the ZR. Handling noise and grunt will make you want it.

im liking the fact that if its driven carefully it will return pretty much what a 1.8 will. Not that i'll be driving like a grandad all the time ;)
