they will probs right it off just because of the paint alone

Phate 17-02-09 07:20 PM

Thats a shame, if its written off you could buy it back from the insurers.

Craig 17-02-09 07:26 PM

Thats terrible mate, she deserves some bad karma for wrecking a gorgeous ZS

Stephen 17-02-09 07:27 PM

heres another Typhoon if you fancy another.

arwilson80 17-02-09 07:32 PM

Damn...! As if there weren't few enough monogram colours. I always dread that happening to me.

...and as for being gutted. I'm sure that's contender for 'Understatement of 2009'.

XPCobra 17-02-09 08:00 PM

Dan1971 17-02-09 08:01 PM

Gutted for you mate ... glad it's not down to you. Been to A&E ? You'll start to stiffen around the neck and shoulders I expect.

Yep ... write off for the paint I reckon.

vinny1979 17-02-09 08:03 PM

yeah you DO have whiplash right, 3-4k ;)

Steves Cleenz 17-02-09 08:05 PM

i think the missus would have done if she had opened her window lol

arwilson80 17-02-09 08:06 PM

There doesn't seem to be too much panel damage... New boot lid, bumper and light cluster unless there is other hidden stuff.

Assuming the others are right about it being written off (and i guess they are probably are as there have been others written off for less ) i'd buy it back and fix it myself.

stamford 17-02-09 08:09 PM

That is an absolute sickener................if that were mine I would probably  I hope the insurers use a bit of common sense, but then again you did say you were pushed into the Merc infront, any front end damage?

You sound like you are in great pain.................

Gachet180 17-02-09 08:15 PM

Really sorry for you mate, I saw the car at the MG onwers club meeting at Silverstone last year and it looked good then and I know you'd done a lot to it since then.

I hope your not injured in anyway as it looks like a hard impact.

the pics dont show the full extent of it, if you look at the rear quarter you can see its hitting the back door and the rear quarter is creased too

Gutted for you mate. It will deffo be written off though. If the quaters creased the rear panel and boot floor will have gone to. And maybe the rear chassis legs. :(

Alan.F 18-02-09 05:23 PM

Saw this car today and surprisingly its not as bad as it looks

the boot floor is fine and the chassis legs but the rear panel is fooked, i reckon i can pull it back to shape with the porter power so i am gonna try my hardest to get the car back off the insurance

Phate 18-02-09 08:57 PM

Keep us posted mate :)

But if the rear quater has gone and you can see in the pic the rear door gap has closed up something is seriously twisted somewhere. I wouldnt trust putting it back on the road without having it jigged tbh mate.

Steves Cleenz 03-03-09 06:15 PM
