Breaking - Red Mk1 V6 Hatch

Posts here on what you're after please.

Parts will be sold to the highest bidder/offer regardless of the order of posting, but once I say it's sold to you - you'll get it.

Engine is good with 85K miles and the belts have been changed once.

Some extra non-standard bits available are -

Gunsmoke alcantara hatch interior - Sold
R 45 headlights -
R 45 Steering wheel -
Laguna splitter
Focal rear speakers to fit the hatch - sound great by the way -
Black alloys with 7mm (budget) 205-40 tyres
ITG induction - Sold
Scorpion stainless back box

CraigZS has first offer on the interior/door handles/steering wheel so they won't be sold until he sees them.

I'm also collecting my Mk2 tomorrow so the bits won't start getting taken apart until the latter part of next week and I'm no mechanic - so if the bits you need are complex to remove, I may struggle to be honest. I'd prefer you to come and collect the bits, but am prepared for the fact that I'll have to remove plenty and post bits myself as required to help you guys out as best I can - and get as much cash back out of her as I can.

So - here's the thread - let me know - but be prepared for a delay in getting the bits sorted until next week.

Cheers

redzed 26-07-13 09:45 AM

interior price? im interested

Smokey 26-07-13 10:07 AM

Can you send the bonnet via internal mail?

pb25 26-07-13 11:07 AM

I'd be interested in the following should they be available:
Gunsmoke alcantara hatch interior -
R 45 headlights -
Focal rear speakers to fit the hatch

Would either of the following work on a td zed?
ITG induction
Scorpion stainless back box

mrmick 26-07-13 04:28 PM

Wheels dan how much plz

Dan1971 26-07-13 05:10 PM

I wanted offers ideally, but I'll go through the bits tonight and put some prices next to them.

In the meantime - feel free to make some offers .....

Smokey - Don't think so pal .... ;)

Dan1971 26-07-13 06:38 PM

Gunsmoke alcantara hatch interior - £125
R 45 headlights - £25
R 45 Steering wheel - £15
Laguna splitter - £30
Focal rear speakers to fit the hatch - sound great by the way - £40
Black alloys with 7mm (budget) 205-40 tyres - £250
ITG induction - £150
Scorpion stainless back box - £60

CraigZS has dibs on the interior and steering wheel and I'm waiting for him to get back to me currently.

All above prices are before postage so that'll need to be negotiated too but collection is best and you can have a look at the rest to see if there's anything else you fancy of her, and everything is still fitted to the car so will take time. The wheels can't go 'til I've collected some others from Portsmouth.

If you need pics, let me know but everything's been photographed and put on here several times in the past.

Craig-ZS180 26-07-13 07:37 PM

I have PM'd Dan now and have let him know my financial situation at present and have unfortunately had to back out if the interior and wheel options as at the current time it doesn't fit in for me. It would appear I jumped the gun in showing interest in the parts. Am really gutted as from what I remember seeing of the seats they are a lovely set but I can't do it at present.

Best of luck with the parts Dan, won't hang around long as some nice and tasty little upgrades there to be had :)

Yep - complete from when I drove back from the MOT station. Running really well. CM210JT - just outside Sawbridgeworth Herts.

Dan1971 29-07-13 07:46 PM

Surprised no one fancies much to be honest. I was wary of putting prices on as I figured after I'd done that people may shy away ....

Last bump before I start ebaying the R45 bits and the renault splitter before my hols - but I'd far rather send them to you guys this week, or have you come round and pick stuff then we haggle a price .... Come on guys get some bits ....

Get that 45 wheel fired on yours!
Or (if its the fat wheel) swap it for my thinner r45 leather wheel with thumb bumps and steering wheel controls?

MG.DAN 29-07-13 08:10 PM

What's the difference between the 45 wheel and the zs? I had a tf one in my Zr, loved it but too lazy to mod for my zs ;)
Dan

Dan1971 29-07-13 08:16 PM

Nah - I actually quite like the feel of this standard ZS one on my Mk2. Seems a bit thicker than the Mk1 shiny wheel.

45 wheel is similar to the TF one, just a little bit larger, but is a direct fit onto the ZS using the MG airbag.

Mine does have the thicker bit for the thumb ..... 'Tis a cumfy wheel but I'm not interested in another steering wheel to be honest.

daytona365 30-07-13 09:56 AM

Just come back from a break, to find you breaking the red beast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im gutted..............................

Craig-ZS180 30-07-13 11:03 AM

Dan, do you still have the original steering wheel from red from before you changed it over to the 45 wheel?
Im only looking for one as I need it to butcher a bit in honesty. No worries if not mate just thought id ask?

Cheers mate.

Ah yeah, didnt think about that one :slap:.
Only want one for the horn connector and to cut the back off to make a spacer up as dont want to ruin mine so can change back as and when needed.

Come up and do it here if you like. So long as I have a wheel to move the car, you can help yourself to the wiring for the horn. Wheels go for about a tenner anyway - and you can have the 45 wheel for that.

Dan is your wheel smaller on the mk2 than the mk1?

Jason04r 30-07-13 03:42 PM

I sent you a PM Dan...

Cheers for the offer of that Dan, I still have the F wheel to try but that's why was going to cut up the back spline spacer of a "spare" zs wheel to save my oe one. If however after trying it and still no joy I think I would be saying I'd have the 45 wheel as at least then its a straight swap over and it will work on my normal coupler and bits.
If I do come to you at least it would mean the wheel would remain at yours and go straight back on I suppose. When over the near future would fit in for something like that with you mate?

Just compared and the diameter apppears the same, but the Mk2 wheel feels thicker.

Dan1971 31-08-13 08:26 AM

Breaking tomorrow - Sunday 1st Sept.

Tomorrow the engine and gearbox is coming out, and the doors and brakes etc getting stripped off.

Anyone not doing anything tomorrow is welcome to come round and help .... ;) I'll confirm times with my mate later and post up.

Engine and gearbox should be on a pallet and ready to go so I'll take offers on them and any other bits you may want, but the chassis is going next week for sure as the front's getting done the week after.

Cheers
