Monogram ZS for sale
|
lol, yes you are, that car was for sale when I bought my mk2 back in 2006, the only difference being it was £11.995 back then
|
Still for sale!!!! No wonder it's only got 3k miles.
|
So your saying thats a genuine mileage ?
|
Probably yes... but it probably hasn't moved since then... and at that price probably wont for a while!
|
funny thing is at 3k miles belts will be overdue, sure its 90k miles or 6 years which ever comes first
|
How would you realistically go around putting a value on a car that old, in that colour and with that mileage ?
|
Its worth about 2000 at most
|
It's certainly the most expensive Zed ive ever seen. But like Ritchy said i dont think its worth the asking price. maybe would have got closer to it if it were a Mk2 ?
|
If you google Hursley Hill Garage or smg Bristol they've got loads of MGR cars at prices that would have been about right 8 or 9 years ago.

Its worth more than £2000. But nearly £7000 is way ott.
Rare colour, virtually unused since new, condition should be almost perfect, pre-Project Drive. Although its going to cost a small fortune to get it on the road. Twelve months tax, MOT (provided it passes), the cambelts and a full service: doubt you would see much change from £900. |

Saying that, my old Rover 200 was on it first cambelt at around 11 years old, and I didn't both getting that changed. Bought the car on 43k miles, sold it 18 months on around 50k iirc. Didnt think about the tyres. The battery will likely need replacing too :P So.... no change from £1300? |
Yes, definitely tyres as past their shelf life date. Wonder what else would need doing if sat for so long, especially if outside in all weathers.

Should I go on? :p Basically it needs a Damn Good service :yoji: |
I would expect for that price and being it's a dealership selling the car that all these things would get checked in the workshop before its collected ie service carried out 12 mths mot, tyres replaced, aircon re-charged & 12 mths tax.

i drive past hursely hill a lot - it is owned by SMG i am pretty sure, as it was an MGR dealer as well but is now something else (but still has SMG sign or flag or something out there)
I can't believe that either of these two grages are still in business at the value they put on the cars... I told SMG that they were ahving a laugh at the price if they thought people would want them. they had some massively late registered cars that they had put a 5k premium on the same mileage cars that were pre-registered.... even though neither of them had gone more than a few hundred miles! Needless to say i never trusted SMG with the ZS even for servicing, but it is my nearest Xpart dealer so i have had to use them from time to time! |

Be interesting to take it for a test drive, bet the discs and calipers look like they've been at the bottom of the sea for the last 10 years.
|
You aint wrong on prices
http://users.autoexposure.co.uk/vehi...5&City=Bristol OMG! love the fact it says stock clearance prices. |
Have you noticed the date on the stock clearance 28/02/2010.

It's a nice looking car but Jesus it isn't worth that! A 75 tourer on there for £8k £14k for a ZT190 No wonder they aren't shifting. Yes they are unregistered but that doesn't mean they are a new car. If they dropped the prices to a more reasonable figure they'd get snapped up! |
Nice looking R75 V8 for £30k. I know its only got delivery mileage but it is still a 5 year old car.
