Who has had the most zeds....
 

Seeing that Dan1971 has bought another zed it got me thinking....
How many zeds have people owned over the years? Has one been enough? or like Dan are you forever searching for your "Elenor"
My money is on Dan having the most....

To start...I've had 2 :) lol

I've got three at the minute.
And owned a rover 200 before those (if that counts!)
Maybe too many lol

bloody greedy if you ask me ;) I think it'll be interesting to see if people get addicted to these cars! in your case... clearly do

I have had 7 in total over the years...

BUT only ever a max of 3 at the same time! ;)

Google even picked up my drive (before I fenced and graveled it) with the three ZS's...

Ha... Both blue ones have now been scrapped, the Yellow one recently sold on eBay for way more than I traded it in for... the Landrover is still mine, although its off the road at my uncles house, I would sort that out if I had space in my "new" house :)

Mk1 180 In nightfire red and a Mk2 180 in goodwood green. I much prefer the mk1 its just feels better built and its a nicer place to be

Only had two ZS's, one of which is for sale, the other is a mk2 that feels like a mk1 inside because most of the inside is mk1.

Currently we have five MGs, four of them taxed and MOTed and four of them have been with us for at least three and a half years, the longest (the not taxed or MOTed one) has been mine for eight years.

Right - here goes - and most long term members will remember the actual cars with a brief bit of story attached to all of them.

Mk2 180 saloon that I put the UJ roof on; Mk1 180 saloon that I bought off George that was owned by a forum member, Marty, and is currently owned by a forum member Bigfoot217; Mk2 180 Red hatch that went to Scotland after I put the longlife exhaust on; Mk2 Diesel saloon that I modded up to 150bhp and put full leather in before selling to CBurd; Mk1 180 hatch that I bought with Andy and got totalled at "The Ring"; Mk1 180 hatch that I've got in bits outside and then my current Silver number outside.

So - 7. "na na na na na .... I'm not as big a ZS slag as you think". Same as Sam and I'm guessing not as many as Ross.

I have also however since joining the site in Feb 08 - had a few others - ST220 estate, diesel Focus, Peugeot 307 Auto, BMW E92 325d coupe, C4 Picasso, Mondeo 2.0T ecoboost ... so I'll accept that I am a bit of a nightmare in general in terms of keeping a car ... "Where are you Elenor...?"

Just a thought....

Of my seven ZS's...

one was a 101bhp Diesel
one was a 120 K series
five were 180's

But only one was a MK2, all the others were MK1's

Also only three were hatches, the other four were saloons

2 were Trophy Blue, 1 was Trophy Yellow, 2 were Solar Red, 1 was LeMans Green and 1 was Perl Black.

All seven ZS's had the bigger spoiler fitted (extreme version of the hatch or saloon, depending which)

So from that you could deduce I Prefer saloon MK1 180's with the Extreme spoiler in either Trophy Blue or Solar Red... However, I prefer the MK2 and in Black or XPower Grey (Well unless you count the monograms, in which case SunSpot Yellow and Biomorphic Green win hands doiwn!)... :)

Just the one :) Bought in June 2006 on 20k miles, 7 years later pushing 100k.
Always wanted a 180, perhaps been to look at 5/6 but never had the funds! I did borrow one for a track day if that counts!

In a nutshell, 3 x ZR's & 1 x ZS, although I did get a 45 TD for my Dad based on my ZS experiences.

Out of those 5 cars, 4 of them have been diesels, and the Mk2 ZS TD hatch that I bought in August 2011 has lasted by far the longest, done the most miles, and has easily been the best.
The ZS TD is quite possibly the most reliable car I’ve ever owned, and certainly one of the best bargains.
Since being bought as a non-runner that was part way through being broken for spares, it’s been completely resurrected, treated to most toys off the original optional extras list (as well as a few er, “special” upgrades), and has accrued 37,000 miles in 2 years.
I just renewed my insurance for it yesterday for the princely sum of £150 fully comp. Yet for a bargain basement car (the cheapest I’ve ever bought) it still gets admiring looks and has done everything from taking the family on holidays to moving beds and settees, and even towed 2 cars on trailers. All while returning 40+ mpg!
