I'll give it a go but I think it's another of those minimum posts type forums before you can advertise anything and to be honest - after getting 2 hellos when I joined, I've not been back.

You never cease to amaze me Dan :D Good luck and dare I ask what is replacing it? Shame when you join a forum and only get a minimal response, guess it might be to do with fast turnover of owners etc. Be prepared for a long wait as I would think most drivers these days are looking very carefully at their running costs as fuel is going up more times than Jordans skirt.

I'm prepared for a wait and hence me asking for help from users to pass on to people at their workplace, family etc for what I think is a fairly decent return for smokey and the site car.

As for the repacement - if it's OK - I'll keep that for another day. ;)

I'll certainly put the word around to those likely to be interested. If it comes off then a superb offer to the site track car. As for the replacement.................yea I guess we can wait ;)

Cops seem to like fast cars (Crieff station has a top spec Imprezza, Volvo C30 and an Focus ST) so will put it on the site intranet which covers all of Tayside.

Well ....

After shelling out ?40 on autotrader and getting a load of scam emails promising me ?7K if I provide my bank details to a guy on a ship off the coast of Nigeria via gumtree - cheers Pete - I got an email from a guy via Pistonheads last night.

Gave him a ring and half hour later he was still very keen and is driving down from Coventry this afternoon to confirm it's condition. He tells me that if it's as described he'll be leaving a deposit and collecting Saturday. He currently drives a 2.5 Zetec S Mondeo and reckons that my ST will save him money on fuel !

Keep your fingers crossed for me please.

This seriously couldn't have been any better. He turns up in a bodykitted Zetec S, looks at mine - loves it - we go out in it - he loves it - then offers me below my bottom line for it - I refuse and then he offers me the bottom line.

Deposit paid and balance on Saturday in time for me to collect mine on Sunday.

Don't get me wrong - Great car - but costly and in todays climate i thought I'd have it for ages. Goes to show really - there are buyers out there for whatever car you've got to sell if it's in good nick.

totally agree mate, there was a gsi veccy totally mint with 70k and full vaux histroy and that lasted 3 days on my local garages forcourt.
