No such thing as a dumb question mate. Only a stupid answer. It's the very bottom bit of matt black plastic valance under the colour coded front bumper. |
Were these "extras", cos my Zed doesn't appear to have one ?
|
Not factory fit mate - you need to get one off a Laguna I think. Mine was on when i got it ;)
|
No such thing as dumb question here.
Asked more than my fair share but usually get a helpfully reply. Front splitter is the bit below the front bumper and can be modified with usualy on the MK 1 by using the Laguna splitter and MK2 by using the Cupra splitter there are others that can be used and personaly Im thinking of doing this mod toine in the summer. |

Has anyone fitted one to a MK1 ?? what did you use ??
I feel a summer project coming on..................... |
As you have a MK1 then the front splitter you would be best with is the one Dan showed in the picture (Renualt Laguna) splitter.
|
Thanks for all the tips etc

That's why this forum is special. Well played. |
With regards the bottom edge of the front spoiler, mine is straight, i notice in some pics the edge is slightly protruding in a curve, was this a model change thing ??
Must get some pics of it on here, some time, needs a damn good clean though !! |

I have a feeling magpie is asking about the factory 180 splitter.
|
yes the little lip you refer to is the OE 180 body kit splitter...
a lot of people extend this toi include an aftermarket full bumper width splitter usually from the leon or the cupra.... be warned tho if you live anywhere with hills you may end up loosing it.... I dont think i can fit one as i scrape the bottomside of the bumper as it is with the OE splitter (it adds no extra depth than the bumper 'normally' |
