New Rims...and on the car!!
Well finally the bolts came and all is good with the world!!
So here are the long awaited photos. Also got MGB centre discs off the 'bay and stuck them over the Inovit ones for the more authentic look! Opinions please!! http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...d/100_1611.jpg http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...d/100_1617.jpg http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...d/100_1614.jpg |
oooo very nice! I like them alot
|
Look good.
Now you will have something to do at the weekends - wheel cleaning |
You could paint the calipers black maybe ?
|
I like, no actually I love em. Good job.
|
get some XPower decal on them and that would finish it off nicely
|
Looking excellent Blair you now need to go a good run and get the rust off the discs
|
**** they look good
|
nice looking set of wheels mate.......just right for winter roads in Scotland!!!!!! hope you got lots of cleaner!!!!
|
Top job there fella! I love them. :D
Now I know I must get mine powder coated! Well, my ZS is going to be SORN'd this week, so I can remove my rims and get them done. Also the cat, so I can get a bypass made. |
yeah really nice choice mate! be good to see them in the flesh! :D
whats next for the machine then? |

where did you end up getting the nuts? Those look like the same thing I'm after
Are they locking? |
They look mint mate.Inovit Tarmac? If so how much do they weigh? Also what off set are they?
I've been looking at them in gunmetal for mine Shroon |
the nuts eventually came from the dealer who sold me the wheels and are not 'locking' nuts but do require an adapter to remove them.
they are inovit tarmac 4x100 pcd, weigh about 22kg if I remember correctly get them man, absolute bargain and look amazing! |
yeah the gunmetal and yellow would look great!
Don't suppose you could source me a set of those nuts mate? The ones I've got need an adapter too but look like you could rip them off with a set of Mole Grips, yours look a far better idea |
lol, did you not see the hassle I had getting them!! the company apparently sent out 3 sets to me, only one arrived....if another does you'll have first dibs!
|
oh yeah I remember now!
who was it? Local? I could just go get them lol |
Very nice mate, needs slamming now though! It's a nice contrast with the blue, I agree that you should get some xpower graphics to go on there now.
|
Cheers mate.Think they are next on the list.
ET is 45 (mailed them today)& they are aprox 10 kilo's(in 17") " The tarmac in a 17” is approx 10kg’s, the offsets are set to an et45" Shroon |
is the 10kilo's with tyres? mine are 18's with tyres....
not lowering though....am having issues when going over speed bumps or potholes where the front two wheels hit the inside plastic in the arches...remedy? |
10 kilo bare.Have found out that that is the same as OE
Shroon |
have to say, they are pretty simila to the OE wheels which is why I chose them. Think its a good choice bud!

no idea, not investigated it yet... I take it the plastic disks I got with the wheels are the spacers?
|
no they are for centering them properly

that's weird. What size of tyres are fitted to it?
|
The OE size for the Mk2 is 205/45x17, due to the wider track on the Mk2 (7.5J) the tyre can rub on both sides due to the clips that hold the arch liner. If you move the arch liner over the metal tabs and secure, then you shouldn't have any more problems of the front tyres rubbing the arch liner, either on full lock or on really bumpy road surfaces.
|
i am in love with your car mate, it makes me sexwee!!! those wheels would look very nice on my white zs :P
|
