Have you get a replacement ? I've got no spare cash until I shift a Silver "02" Rover 45 semi-auto hatch. 28K and just done the HG and belts.

I'd take it in px .....

Bobdope2002 18-07-11 05:15 PM

jmcleavy 18-07-11 05:26 PM

Yes mate, its cracked

Ritchy 18-07-11 05:31 PM

Dont mean to be funny here and take this as you wish but they sell on Ebay for ?150 - ?200

scrapping this is a ludacrisly stupid idea......why not buy one and pay someone of heres petrol who is capable of doing the job to come do it

Sorry to come across so blunt and probs spam your FS post but i dont understand why??

I really wish i had the cash to buy this!!

nath86 19-07-11 10:26 AM

Id have this but id have to drive it, and seeing as it needs to be gone by friday i cant see buying an inlet and getting it posted to me by friday is possible? Bargain for someone :)

jmcleavy 19-07-11 10:40 AM

Problem i have is i just don't have the money to pay for the parts or labour. in catch 22 as it odds fixing but no money but would be selling once fixed anyway so looking to but losses and sell now to someone who knows what they are doing and have the time and money to sort it. would like car to go to a good home by selling to someone on here as i know it will be looked after by an enthusiast

jmcleavy 19-07-11 04:57 PM

Sorry guys, mistake in the original advert, car is MOT'd until February 2012 not April 2012

nath86 19-07-11 05:04 PM

Come on someone, save a low mileage example from the scrapper, i would but im a 5 hour drive away :(

Dan1971 19-07-11 05:08 PM

My Rover 45 ends in 10 mins on ebay.

If it sells, I'll probably have it.

starfire039 19-07-11 05:20 PM

I'd fix it for you if I was closer, some scrappys don't even know what a plenum is, one near me wanted ?25 for a plenum with both the motors! Or look on ebay and expact to pay ?100-150 and do it yourself, Stamford wrote a very good guide that I used to change mine. A real shame to see it go.

Supercharged_Z 19-07-11 05:37 PM

i have never known a inlet to crack

jmcleavy 19-07-11 05:46 PM

Ok Dan, pm if it goes through. inlet manifold is cracked and has previously been plastic welded hence the need for a new one

Didn't sell - now relisted at ?999 no reserve but a 3 day auction means it'll end Friday.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=200632281253

I will buy it mate if it sells but can't until then. If you have to get rid beforehand - so be it - but if you can hang on the chances are I'll take it off you.

jmcleavy 19-07-11 11:28 PM

Ok Dan, will wait and see if yours sells mate

jmcleavy 20-07-11 05:18 PM

What time does your auction end on Friday Dan?

Dan1971 20-07-11 05:31 PM

post 29 has the link mate - 7.15ish

jmcleavy 23-07-11 10:22 AM

Car is still available, please pm me if interested guys

Dan1971 23-07-11 10:39 AM

Sorry ....

jmcleavy 23-07-11 10:41 AM

Got you pm Dan, don't worry about it fella.

Dan1971 23-07-11 10:45 AM

Trust me if it had sold - I'd have taken it, and if you've still got it when I do - I'll be touch.

Selling the rover's getting to be a bit more trouble than I thought it would be. Thought that a decent Auto would go quite easily, but hey ho .....

jmcleavy 27-07-11 12:35 PM

Hung onto car for a week longer than i wanted so last chance for someone before it goes on Friday

?300 secures

PM me please

stamford 27-07-11 12:41 PM

I would have this off you but not got any funds going spare until the pups are ready to go. Shame.

jmcleavy 27-07-11 12:45 PM

How long before they go mate?

stamford 27-07-11 12:54 PM

Way too long for you, they won't be ready to leave mum until the first week in October! Between now and then my salary is spoken for, have a few big bills to pay and pups to get hearing tested and innoculations, that won't be cheap! I am surprised no-one has taken this off you, shame it's going.
