Supercharged_Z 13-11-11 02:02 PM

cant wait to see it done!!!

daytona365 13-11-11 02:08 PM

Sounds a good project, just no more pic of the rear. The boot looks awful on MK2 45!!!!!!

Maxxed_Ross 13-11-11 05:00 PM

fantastic project, nice black oak dash too!

I know of a mk2 rover 45 with the full heater system still in it (well it was 2 weeks ago) - let me know what bits you need and I'll try and scavenge them for you. It even had the screen in place when I saw it

Dr Doggystyle 13-11-11 05:24 PM

thank you for the nice replies
im now saving for the respray and when the winter will be over (around march) i will get it done :)

@maxxed_Ross, i sent you a PM

the combination of the black oak, the leather, the diesel and the rear of the car i liked it all so that why i bought it
in my previous R400 i had the same rear and it was awesome.
Here in NL you dont have a lot of MK2 MG & Rover so its really cool to have a car you dont see on every corner of the street.
Unfortunally those parts of the heating system were only in the MK2 versions and since there arent many i cant find them :(

Wish you all the best with it, hope you can source all the missing bits.

:smile1::smile1::smile1:

Dr Doggystyle 14-11-11 02:16 PM

@KevG
thanks for the info.
i'll wait and see if maxxed_Ross can find the parts 4 me

@peterzs
thank you

other than the missing pieces for the heating the car drives really nice.
and i get a lot of attention with my light blue bonnet :)

Maxxed_Ross 14-11-11 03:47 PM

I'll try and go to the breakers first thing on Friday all going well

Enright 14-11-11 07:23 PM

Good luck with it. What does E4 on the ATC display mean?

(The one on my Dad's R45 has the same error code - and if it self-diagnoses faults, I'd love to find out exactly what the problem it's pointing to is)

Dr Doggystyle 14-11-11 08:01 PM

here you can see a list of the error codes
http://www.themgzs.co.uk/vb/showpost...3&postcount=11

Enright 15-11-11 06:40 AM

That is perfect - thank you.

By the way, I have a spare front temperature sensor somewhere if it helps you.

Dr Doggystyle 03-02-12 11:51 AM

a small update with a large package :)
- 2012-01-29 Bought something very nice thx 2 Smokey

when it arrives i will share pics

peterzs 03-02-12 12:42 PM

Not the blue flashing lights??????????????????????

:whistle::whistle::whistle: :-D:-D:-D

Dr Doggystyle 03-02-12 03:31 PM

nope bigger than that :)
it makes my car complete from the outside when im done with everything

Dan1971 03-02-12 04:14 PM

I'm guessing a big spoiler ....

peterzs 03-02-12 04:50 PM

Smokey 03-02-12 08:11 PM

Dr Doggystyle 03-02-12 09:22 PM

@Smokey lol that's cheating

peterzs 04-02-12 09:53 AM

Dr Doggystyle 18-02-12 06:35 PM

just another question :

i still have a problem missing some items of the ATC
about the servo motors
they are
JED000030 heater blend
JED000050 heater mode
both have the same valeo partnumber on them N102171B and no mg rover partnumber on the motors

someone told me that the only difference between them is the size of the lever on it can any confirm that ?
what does heater blend means and heater mode ?
maybe then i know which i have and which i still need

thanks

Dr Doggystyle 02-03-12 07:03 PM

yesterday the JED000030 heater blend & JED000050 heater mode airco servomotors came.

i have bought them both and i emailed all the ex mg-rover dealer in the netherlands for these.
one ex dealer had both of them and could compare them for me.
I think i needed the JED000030 heater blend but now i have a spare one of the other
will fit them hopefully tomorow and i hope it will be warm again in the car

soon there will be some sideskirt brackets (thx to mgzsturbo2008)
and also a set of MG ZS MK2 foglights and brackets & a TF000150 Sensor-temperature (thx to George)

Dr Doggystyle 27-03-12 05:20 PM

these arrived today :

a set of MG ZS MK2 foglights and brackets & a TF000150 Sensor-temperature thx to George for making this possible for me

peterzs 27-03-12 05:25 PM

Getting there, have to get some pics up when its done.

Dont know if you have to get a T4 to turn the spots on, I cant remember what happened with my ones. The garage had to get a new switch and found the wiring was never completed.

Just in case they dont switch on!!!

Dr Doggystyle 27-03-12 05:29 PM

thanks for the tip
but when the car had the R45 MK2 bumper the fogs were working so i think these fogs i got today will be plug and play in the ZS MK2 bumper

peterzs 27-03-12 05:35 PM

Even better.

Dr Doggystyle 27-03-12 05:44 PM

im also looking to finally do something with the light blue bonnet.
i was thinking of spraying it the original color
but then i decided (that if the price is right) it will be wrapped by someone of the dutch MG-R forum.
and than the bodykit will be also wrapped in the same color.

has anyone pics of a two tone ZS with the bodykit a different color than the original car color ?
i want to see how that looks
maybe its ugly :)

Dr Doggystyle 12-04-12 08:29 AM

another change of plans :)
the whole front (bumper, bonnet and 2 new MK2 front wings with the holes in them for the bodykit) will be repainted in the original color PBT.
Im still thinking on making the bodykit (wrapping) another color to create a two tone effect
but still not sure how that would look

Dr Doggystyle 25-04-12 09:10 PM

an update
yesterday my car went to the painter for a full front repaint
this friday it will be done.
i hope it will be nice

here some pics for the last time with the smurfs bonnet

http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...48934262_n.jpg

and the last time origine front wings

http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...53555226_n.jpg

peterzs 25-04-12 09:24 PM

Sure it will be spot on. bye bye smurf.

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Enright 25-04-12 09:56 PM

I thought you wanted to put 180 kit on your front bumper Dr.D. Still toying with the idea of different coloured extension bits?

Dr Doggystyle 26-04-12 05:58 AM

yes i still will put the 180 kit on it.
friday my car will be done with the respray and if the original color is nice i will leave the whole bodykit the same color
still have to fix the skirts and the left rearbumper spat
then i can respray the rest of the parts and fit them including the extreme spoiler
hope to fix them soon so it will be a nice ZS 180 MK2 from the outside :)

Dr Doggystyle 04-05-12 06:00 PM

my car is finally back
and the original color is awesome !

a preview of the front :

http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...90666995_n.jpg

they also have fitted the front wings but they didnt fit the brackets behind it....

now i have to save again some money to get the rest of the bodykit parts fixed and painted
will be continued :)

peterzs 04-05-12 08:18 PM

Looking good, will be a great car when its finished.

:bow::bow::bow::bow::clap::clap:

Dr Doggystyle 17-05-12 11:32 AM

the side view under construction

http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...74462174_n.jpg

and yesterday we also fixed the skirts and the rear bumper spat.
now we have to finish that so all the remaining bodykit parts can be painted en then fitted :)

peterzs 17-05-12 01:10 PM

Bet you cant wait to get it finished, will look good.

Dr Doggystyle 04-08-12 11:11 PM

And there is finally some air blowing in my R45 !
yesterday i fixed the ATC
i bought a MK2 transistor a while ago and it works.
if anyone has a spare one of that MK2 one please let me know
always nice to have a spare one of that just in case.

the E4 error is still coming after the reset.
the front bumper temp sensor still has to be fitted and the fog lights and MK2 brackets and also the lower bumper grille

now the car is gone for the APK (kind of MOT)
hope there wont be any problems to fix.
they also will place the front wing brackets behind the side grilles.
and also the decat
then i will have the rest of the body kit fixed / painted
then the foglights and the lowerer grille
the spoiler and bodykit pained fixed
and then the rims.

Dr Doggystyle 02-10-12 11:02 AM

my car is at the garage since sunday 30 september
things that are going to be fixed :

- when driving my car it slips out the 5th gear, when i put it back in 5th gear i can drive further, but it happens again in a couple of kms.
- fixing oil leak under the oil can
- mounting PG-1 gear linkage rebuild kit like this http://www.moto-build.com/zs_linkage_rebuildkit.html
- mouting stone guard in frontbumper
- mounting fog lights
- mounting temp sensor under the frontbumper
- mounting the daylight leds)
