Looks good, but the big question, if asked now would you go through it all again?
|

if on the other hand could it done in less time alot less time may be but day to day driving will answer that, jim did say that it would work better if i had an extra 1000 revs but due to the way its been set up but then i need more money that is never going to happen still have to sort out the power steering i think its a bit lazy and has stopped on me then back on ?? was fine on the motorway just did it the once on the drive oh i did like the v6 vectra turbo he was working on thats going to be quick |
so glad you have got it back complete at last, just in time for christmas !
|
Glad you have it back at last!
Look forward to the graph. Bet it sounds epic!!! |
very impressive.
If you give up on the vx pas system, I have a merc a class pump that could work a treat, should be an easy change having seen your setup. |
Great to see it finished and your happy with it:) Look forward to some running reports to se how it all fits in on the road. Hope you manage some good sound clips and drive bys with the beastie, as said it must sound amazing:D

Which did eventually get done also.. DTA S80 ain't it?? With custom fuel rails? Or was that someone else's Hope it came back in better knick than mine :) stripped mine back and started again to make it look presentable although he did a gd job of the loom |
Glad to hear that you finally have your car back and it is sorted :)
hope you now have many years of enjoyment out of it! |
Great to hear you have got it back all sorted, bet it sounds immense!
|
well i did say the power steering was cutting out
now i have no fluid left at all so heavy to turn lol so how long can i drive it with no fluid in it ( not far i bet ) and it's to dark to see plus im at work till 2200 oh such fun |
How far do you need to go, the main issue, heavy steering apart is the pump running with no fluid.
|
opps abit late on the reply about 20mins drive home
|
I'd go for it, I don't think that would cause any damage to the pump.
|
cool cheers pete just have to find the leak now
|
I suppose the good thing is that you know what the problem is, as you say it is just finding the leak. I would hope upon a good poke around it would show itself fair quickly and may just be a split pipe or needing a clamp done up:)
|
prob a high pressure hose if you have lost it all
|
i have not had a look yet just wished it was done right the first time

ok my bad there is loads of fluid in there looked like there was none
so it's the fuse or the pump ?? if its the fuse will have to go bigger again there was a 20amp in there but it was getting hot so jim stuck a 40amp in there but we are not sure if the pump is a 40amp one or not ive got a mate bring in a multi meter tomorrow |
You have electric pas ?.
|
Is the fluid up to the correct level?
How clean is it? Does it bubble when the engine is running? Where is this fuse? If the correct fuse is in there and it keeps blowing you need to find the problem, just increasing the fuse will increase the risk of damage, possibly even a fire. |
20amp fuse is prob a bit weak for ehpas pumps, 40 or 50 would be a better choice.
|
but the standard ZS doesn't have EPAS.
|
Standard zs pas has no fuses, I'm confused. !
