Leather Steering Wheel

Hey Everyone,

I'm looking for a good condition leather steering wheel for my 400. It needs to have the thumb spats but no audio controls though. Anyone have or know of anyone who has?

MG ZS STE 04-04-14 08:07 PM

Doesn't say its leather, but it doesn't say it isn't.

How much difference is there in size from the ZS to the TF wheel? Also what is required to fit it because I have heard that the indicator cancelling is off or you could cut a piece of the ZS wheel and put it on before the TF wheel and everything fits just fine but im not sure. Thanks.

M17TT180 04-04-14 09:47 PM

Its a little bit smaller, you can either cut the back bit off your zs wheel or make something, there is a guide on here or on .org. You need the tf rotary coupler as well I think. Its mint and full leather.

Malteser 04-04-14 10:00 PM

Do you have the rotary coupler? Do you have any pics of it and how much for it?

Also would the Standard air bag fit into it?

M17TT180 04-04-14 10:05 PM

I'd have to dig it out the garage, the zs airbag fits but you need to cut a bit off the bottom. It was sent to me with an airbag but I know most couriers are iffy as its considered an explosive.

I don't have a coupler but its this one

If you could post up a pic and price that would be great Daytona. I wouldn't need the airbag though, just the wheel.

I don't think that I would be able to take the time off of work to do the round trip to the UK and back to Malta...lol. Also the wheel is missing the thumb spats. Otherwise I would have taken it for sure!

In regards to the thumb spats, I am looking for something like this except in leather.

The thumb spats are those bumps at 10 and 2.

I've got the same plastic one for spare, not the leather, if you're interested after all, and I'm living in France, so the postage cost may be cheaper than UK...

The part number for the one you want is QTB101470PMP, brand new ones were being sold off about 4 years ago on ebay for £25 each, I bought 2:smart:

I'm sorry I don't have a spare, the Mrs wouldn't appreciate me selling her steering wheel

petet16 05-04-14 11:59 AM

An xpart dealer in Holland has some in stock, but I've no idea how much they want for one.

The nicest steering wheel I've ever seen on a ZS/45 was noodles over on XPF.
