just got my first mg zs and so far had nothin but rover problems i do love drivin it but what are the common faults so i can sort them b4 i start makin it look nice??

Heater resisitor, is one.
Door handles is another
Water leaking in from front scuttle.

All easy to fix.

Best if you tell us what problems you do already have 1st and we can help give info on them one by one
These cars are a doddle to work on and pretty sure you wont have a problem that folk here haven't heard of before
Stick with it, put some work in and reap the rewards

so far just done engine rebiuld with a recon head new rad found a way 2 lower clutch pedal and about to search out the grindin on the brakes this wkend

Soon as i sort out the brakes can start on the luxuries like windows that dont give a workout lol and are they set up or do i need the doir looms and everyfin 2 go with never had a car so basic lol

welcome - good luck with the early niggles. hopefully nothing too serious to sort out though :)

the ZS is luxury compared to my first two cars, 1st was a D reg vaux belmont (astra with a boot) the second was a M reg nasp 1.8 D 205......

My last few cars have just been all about comfort so it feels like step down at min from the soarer anyway but as long as it keeps a smile on my face i will keep lookin after it and hopfully b at 1 of the meets soon

but have any handled as well as this one?

Do you have front windy windows.
Do you have a mk1 or mk2? The door looms are different.

Where abouts are you? I have a mk1 you are quite welcome to come and strip bits if you want?

Its a mk1 and ye a few of my past projects handled like gocarts but am use 2 rear wheel drive so not realy pushed it in the twistys yet not wiv the brakes like they are ther a bit off puttin and am from todmorden
