Saloon Full Leathers?

Anyone seen or heard of any for sale?

Have to be in the best condition possible as the Mrs is very much the perfectionist.

Many Thanks Folks :)

The do occasionally come up but they are rare. i'll keep my eye peeled

Stephen 24-08-14 11:18 AM

I know of ZS fronts for sale. Advertised on. Org. The guy with the slammed 45 and 75 has them up for sale

Lukeus101 24-08-14 12:13 PM

Cheers guys, want a full set but all that comes up is 45's

Dan1971 25-08-14 09:22 AM

Rare but do come up.

I'd also be tempted to look at buying a whole car with the leathers in - there's some blue and purple hodge podge that keeps getting advertised on the bay for example which IIRC has full leathers fitted.

Buy the car - swap interiors - sell the donor.

I fitted full leathers to my diesel but always preferred alcantara to be honest -

Im not sold on Alcantaras in the 180. Full Black oak dash would look awesome with the full leathers

A guy on FB is breaking its very "personal" Rover 45 hatchback.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/4757...6206582735849/

It has ZS full leather front seats but 45 ones on the rear.

This is the same guy that stuck wheels on a 75 tourer that are worth 3 times the value of the car. Also "cheap" lows

petet16 25-08-14 06:53 PM

It is yes, it also has massively rolled arches.

He posted a while back that running that 45 so low had trashed the underside !!.

M17TT180 25-08-14 07:50 PM

I had a set and couldn't shift them! Ended up selling them for about £45!

Lukeus101 25-08-14 09:13 PM

Nooooooo!!!!

I do too, leather is slipperier and gets too hot in summer and too cold in winter.

agreed, I remember at one of the 1st meets I went to there was a guy with full leathers and he hated them. Wanted to swap with someone and would even have taken axis seats.

For the record, yes it does. Really brings up the quality of the interior in mine IMHO.

And I love my leather seats

Looks awesome :(

ZS Phil 28-08-14 10:04 AM

Those seats in the "Pimp Wagon" were originally in my ZS diesel for a short time. I won the fronts on ebay and Stephen sent me the 45 rears down from Scotland. I then sold them to a mate because I didn't get on with how slippy they were in the corners and also felt horrible on a cold morning. I replaced them with bog standard green monacos and never looked back. My mate then sold them to the pimp wagon guy so they have done the rounds.

MG ZS STE 01-09-14 07:38 PM

What about heated full leather?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rover-45-4...item4d232f001c

Lukeus101 01-09-14 10:20 PM

Sadly Kate would only have the ZS ones not the 45's

Lukeus101 12-10-14 09:21 AM

BUMP, me and Kate have had a long discussion and will be happy with a set of 45 leathers or other early interior that would match, i.e. Green/grey Monacos. Must be in good nick though.

Djules 12-10-14 01:20 PM

Pretty sure I saw someone selling ZS full leather seats recently, but I can't found the ad again... :/

Lukeus101 12-10-14 01:57 PM

ahhh poo :(

Or - dare I say it - if alcantara would do you - buy this and break it. Higher tax band so difficult to see anything else happening to it in this condition. engine with belts done might get you £300 - £250 for the wheels - say £200 for all the airbag stuff and seats for your own car and you'd only need to raise another £250 from the other bits to break even.

Lukeus101 12-10-14 03:57 PM

That what I have at the moment Dan but due to the SRS problems in my other thread I need to get it back to 2002 spec

I think this could make a decent car after being tidied up - I've always wanted an ignition blue zs... not that far from me either...

I think so, but maybe not at £1000, it's going to need a respray to get the paintwork right, and falls in to the higher tax bracket

yeah that's what I'm thinking.

shame about his psycho wife really....

petet16 13-10-14 02:16 PM

Indeed.

I know he says Chipsaway could repair the paintwork, but looking at his pictures she's done a lot of damage to all the doors.

I know - I would have them re-sprayed anyway... don't think I would pay any more than 800 for it to be honest. Big shame as it would be a good car otherwise.

I still have my twilight though so its not like I am with out.
