Sods Law...

Worked a night shift last night and made the most of driving home at 5am on deserted roads, coulda drove 16 miles of Motorway or 25ish miles of empty B roads.
Conditions clear but road surface damp & I opted for B, enjoyed a good blast and the car is flying along like a go kart then 2 mile from home Whallop!!
Deep pot hole clipped on front left,
Feel tyre going down quicker than £20 whore in Amsterdam
Resort to using can of tyre gunk to get me home..

Sods Law is :
Looks like wheel might be Gubbed & Ive just sold my old alloys last week...:slap:

New tyre too, that stuff fecks the tyre up I think.

The law of sod is a barsteward.
No consolation I know but think the majority would have chosen to do the same as you so we'd all be in the same boat. Bad luck mate.

Obviously can't get anywhere open today and realistically won't be able to drive till Saturday afternoon as still Celebratating Christmas ....:beer2:
Got a space saver wheel but it won't fit over the 180 brakes and good tyre place I know is in city centre

Stick the space saver on the back, back on the front.

Isnt there a web site where they show you how to claim off the road authority???

Lucky it didnt have you off the road!!

Not good, sue the pants off the council or whoever.

Good luck with it.

This one. http://www.potholes.co.uk/claims/how_to_claim

Your rim a write off bud? Got a few black eleven spokes here am planning putting up for sale. 2 with tyres and one is a bare rim. Not perfect but very good condition

Good suggestion from Peter, luckily never had to try it myself but could be worth a shot to.

andys1981 27-12-14 11:07 AM

ah that is bad bad luck mate,as gary says is the alloy gubbed, maybe just the tyre thats gave way, hope its an easy fix mate

ian zs180 27-12-14 11:28 AM

Sorry to hear about your rim mate these roads are a fooking mess . The government say there gona plough millions in to sort it out yeah right I,ll belive that when I see it .

mattyprice4004 28-12-14 07:48 PM

Definitely worth trying to claim - it'll cost very little to try using the guides out there. Good luck. :)

BUCKYDEVIL 29-12-14 10:29 AM

Ok got to garage this morning and I'm lucky as rim protector done its job but still quite a chunk away from rim..
Sidewall was gashed but only needs a new tyre but stuck for funds so soon after Xmas I had to opt for a budget ..

Maxfly 29-12-14 10:18 PM

As good as you could of hoped for I suppose. Good you got all wheels rolling again.
