Stephen 18-03-15 06:21 PM

Worse than me!!

M17TT180 18-03-15 06:22 PM

Love the cars, just make bad decisions lol

This one is Firefrost, a colour i've always wanted and its only 58k, alcantaras, ITG, belts done and many other bits.

daytona365 18-03-15 07:58 PM

Seen it on FB. Nice car when cleaned up etc.

Good spec on it too.

Dan1971 19-03-15 07:08 PM

Keep up Dan! Only have the black one at the moment which will be moved on, although no rush I can plot it up until the right buyer comes along. Would love it to go to a member of one of the clubs so it stays around.

Sold the ZT then aswell .... ah well - I give up.

ZS Phil 20-03-15 05:08 PM

Looks like its got potential :)

Whats wrong with the current one then? Excuse me for saying it but the new ones looks much worse off than the black one.

Nothing wrong with the black one, I've wanted a firefrost for a long time. It looks bad now but in two weeks it'll look good as new.

ZS Phil 20-03-15 05:42 PM

Fair enough :)

stamford 05-04-15 04:27 PM

Looks stunning.

MG ZS STE 05-04-15 05:14 PM

that has to be the best colour after british racing green.

Lukeus101 05-04-15 06:04 PM

Looks Great Matt!

adam 05-04-15 06:17 PM

Fire frost is a gorgeous colour, especially when it catches the light. Very nice.

Smokey 05-04-15 06:32 PM

Followed this on FB, great to see another saved.

M17TT180 05-04-15 07:31 PM

Ok yes I have been through a few and yes I have broken a couple but then I have also saved a couple from being scrapped or broken so it all balances out nicely. :)

splinter 05-04-15 07:52 PM

Nice one mate. Looks gorgeous

Makes a change to see one saved after all the so called breakers you see on fb

M17TT180 18-05-15 10:22 PM

Well better update this thread.

Since the last post the doors have been replaced, along with the arch spat which was well past repair.
Also its had all four discs and pads replaced and two new front tyres.

Cosmetically it does have a few little dints and scratches but hey its an 11 year old car.

Upgrades, its had metal kick plates and a flocked glovebox fitted along with some replacement shocks sporting xpower lowering springs which has closed a little of the arch gap and give a much nicer and tighter ride.

Up next will be polybushing both the front and rear ARB.

MG ZS STE 19-05-15 08:19 AM

Looks fackin lavely geeza ;)

theboynoz 19-05-15 09:15 AM

Looks miles better!

Does the 180 and 120 use the same ARB's or are they bigger on the 180? Dunno why I am asking, I guess I want to polybush all round too, but not even checked the parts yet....

Also do the lowering springs alone make a good difference, as that is a mod I am looking at in the future?

daytona365 19-05-15 05:56 PM

The 180 has its own big ARB.on the rear.......thats why I had to find a 2nd hand one to refurb before putting it on the Zed. Replaced all the bushes though, plus bolts and hangers......

The shocks were just the standard 180 ones, the springs were already on them and my shocks were on their last legs.

M17TT180 24-06-15 08:05 PM

Well nothing much has happened with the 180 since the last update, apart from she is now decatted, got a duplex exhaust on the way. Electric rear Windows to fit - with door cards!

Biggest change of all tho is in 2 or 3 months she will have a twin! I'm on the look out for another zs in firefrost for my partner so she can finally ditch her crappy zr :)

And here is a recent pic from the halfway house meet last Sunday, yes the colour is stunning in the sun!

stamford 24-06-15 08:35 PM

Agreed, it does look stunning in the sun.

ian zs180 24-06-15 10:02 PM

MMMMMMMM firefrost the best colour by far :smile2:

pheelay 24-06-15 10:26 PM

hmmm.. makes me miss my firefrost zs!! Looking great

Dan1971 24-06-15 10:44 PM

Remember Clive's Firefrost 180 when he came to buy my ignition blue diesel off me. It looked amazing and I hadn't realised until that point that there was a sort of goldy/sparkle to the paint.

Does look like it's in decent shape now - fair play.
