WANTED motobuild -35mm springs

As title really, anyone having a clear out? Cheaper the better, they are only for a laugh on the 45 for this year's POL.

Or coilovers if the price is right...

Wow - what will they think of next - an app that lowers the ride height of a car - amazing. :joker:

Skillen 10-03-17 02:43 PM

That'll actually be a thing I'll bet for the air ride stuff

adam 10-03-17 03:24 PM

Already exists, Air Lift's 3H/3P system.

Back on topic - normally I'd be dead against cutting the springs but if it's only to go to POL and back you might get away with it.

ZS Phil 11-03-17 07:42 PM

Haha, air ride is out of the question as is cutting springs I'm afraid. One thought that did cross my mind however was machining a spare pair of front forks which would give a subtle drop and the rear forks on the dampers could be re-drilled where the bolt goes through the RCA. This would lower without any effect on spring/ damper rates. I've got a spare set of dampers in the garage... I'll look into it.

I don't think there is the clearance in either the front fork or rear damper for real movement.

Still looking if anybody has anything?

You can pick up civic coilovers pretty cheap

The issue with them is that they are too short at the back, spring rates are miles off and are crap quality. I had them on my ZS diesel for a few weeks when I didn't know any better then fired them off for a set of GAZ.

I've got a spare set of GAZ for the race car so may just use those if nobody has anything kicking about.
