You wanna see filth?? Look at my car :happy2: it is filthy under the bonnet, inside the car and outside :happy2:

One day it will get a proper clean. Amazing that I have owned it for over a year and never once cleaned it inside

What cleaning products did you use under the bonnet?? I have had some experience of using truckwash........namely on my pink rear bumper :D
is that what you use under the bonnet?

Jim

same products for under the bonnet as for exterior
i have just never let it get dirty

meguiars deep crystal polish for metal bits
and mer rubber and plastic gel for hoses etc
only problem cant get aluminium/metal head and brackets shined up dont know what to use on them

Maxxed_Ross 16-03-08 05:23 PM

they are very rough cast parts, so really they will never look clean

best bet would be to get an alloy cover made up to cover the whole lot up like I ended up doing - only thing is that doubles the cleaning work!

Offft, Thats nothing If the weather is nice on a Sunday, thats what my car looks like when I'm in a cleaning mood, it will probably take between 4 to 6 hours to get the car the way I want it, And I last done a cleaning stint like that was for Fast and Modified last year, so expect the very same treatment again this year.

sduk 17-03-08 09:06 AM

Not bad, ALMOST as clean as mine !!! See pic below, havnt got any engine pic's at mo. Like you said, if you always keep on top of it, its not a problem. As for searching for a decent metal polish, use AUTOSOL. Its bloody good stuff. I always use it for cleaning my exhaust.
