My I.C.E....its begun :)
okay so here are a few pictures of the VERY early stages of my I.C.E, i posted it in another thread for someone to have a look at....but i thought it deserved its own thread :)
okay system as follows: -LG LAN9600R 7" screen and sat nav -4x Vibe 17cm -4x Vibe 2" tweeters (2x Custom fit) -4x Vibe Crossovers -Vibe 12" 1600watt Slick Sub woofer -Vibe monoblock 800w amplifier -In-phase 4 channel amplifier 1200W -2x Autoleads 4 gauge wiring kit http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y14...x/DSC_0326.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y14...x/DSC_0328.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y14...x/DSC_0330.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y14...x/DSC_0331.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y14...x/DSC_0334.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y14...x/DSC_0336.jpg |
nice and tidy, but being a big boot i think it still looks empty hun, have you got other stuff to put in it or not? :)
|
oooohhh yes....its only just begun :greedy::punk:
Im planning: -to swap the in phase amp for a new vibe 4 channel. -use the in phase amp to power 2x 10" vibe subs -2x vibe power caps -full boot install to sink and conseal amps/subs -various lighting and im half way thru the design stage (and saving stage!) to fit a small TV on the inside of the boot lid, electric opening lid via remote control.....but thats a work in progress! its just having the time and money to do it all :( now i have the vectra it can all be done while its off the road! |
ahhh cool!
keep us updated on everything you do wont you? be really good to follow you're progress. |
All well and good seeing it, but we can't hear it! Any chance of that at all? ;)
I like the head unit, very funky. |
yeeer of course, i'll pump up the juice tonight and record it all in action! any song requests? :) lol
|

I've got an ICE install in my boot too but the crossovers are next to the speaker components under the rear 'shelf' and the amp is bolted to the side of the sub box. Then to make life easy it's connected with quick release blocks - just the amp and sub comes out in about 10 seconds and everything else remains in place and still sounds great !
|
best way to do it, deffinately. because all my speakers are now amp'd up if i take it all out i'll have nothin lol i'll just use the rear seats :) bung the rest in someone else's car! if worse comes to worse i'll use the weasel shed (my vectra diesel) lol i dunno if u saw the thread but i have a scangauge 2 to fit soon, can't wait to get that in!
|
Yeah i've been thinking about one of those scangauges for a while now, but the issue i have with them is where to mount it so that it looks like it was always there - i'm not keen on bits protruding randomly and giving that obvious after-market look ! It's a great piece of kit and i need to have a good think about it :)
|
ahh i may be solving your problem ;) let me have a play wen it eventually turns up....watch the thread and i'll attempt to keep it updated, i've got a rough idea!
|
I've seen your idea - putting it where the heated seat buttons are - only problem is i have heated seats ! :D
|
well! alright for sum ain't it!:shoot: nice warm buttox on a cold winters morning, dam u lol
must be somewhere....i'll have a think for you:D im ripping my dash apart wen it turns up anyway....so mite find somewhere then? we'll see:D |
