Nice one! I had a LHD one some years ago, the one where you could unbolt the doors and windscreen etc Just was rotten as a pear!

This is the wife's one....an O2 Jimny, not bad , but never get much of a look in.............probably not a bad thing:whistle:

Since these were taken it has had chrome side bars, chrome rear bar and chrome roll bar fitted.

Not bad for my camera phone eh!

i quite like the SJ, would be great for a bit of a laugh with some mates

mrt_04 15-08-07 08:35 PM

Great pics Stamford. Bit more modern than mine!!!
SJ's are ok, but as normal two seperate makes. Japanese & Spanish. Mine being Spanish & between them totally different electrics & fittings....real pain.........still great fun though. May just keep it for another year......or summer!!!!!

sduk 16-08-07 04:19 AM

they are both pretty cool, would be good having the soft top in the summer certainly!

a second car would be good but then with only owning one car i get the pleasure of being able to drive it all the time :D

sarah 16-08-07 08:27 AM

mrt_04 16-08-07 09:41 AM

Glen290 16-08-07 04:07 PM

I was looking for one of these myself as a cheap runaround...quality motor..

arwilson80 16-08-07 07:08 PM

I much prefer the SJ to the other one, but a little 'lick of paint' on the bull bars wouldn't go amiss. :)

stamford 16-08-07 07:12 PM

My missus loves her Jimny, just right for her as she is a town girl! I have used it off road and it is very able! Crap on long runs though, it is screaming out for another gear when cruising. Easy to work on as there is very little in it!

stamford 27-08-07 03:12 PM

Here's a later one of the wiffys Jimny. With chrome side steps, rear bar and roll bar. Was off to the beach yesterday.

Very nice. They are great for messing around in. Furthest I have take mine is to Eastbourne / Selsey for the day. No problems at all, just a steady 50mph!!!!

stamford 27-08-07 03:16 PM

So where are you again? I was at West Wittering beach yesterday! That would be a cool place for a meet!

mrt_04 27-08-07 03:29 PM

I am based in Shepperton, about 5mins from M25. Be great to meet up. Brighton & South Coast under an hour (in ZS of course!!!).

stamford 27-08-07 03:42 PM

I can see a mini-meet coming on..................:tease: to the Kent and Scottish lot! ;)

T11OM F 29-08-07 05:57 PM

Quality motors, pretty thirsty and rust out...

mrt_04 29-08-07 06:16 PM

Hi & welcome. Yeah, SJ is getting to it's last days. May get another summer out of it. Not too bad on fuel............compared to the ZS!!!!

I beg to differ! Alright around town, but on a motorway or dual carriageway..................no! Thirsty little SOB!

mrt_04 29-08-07 06:20 PM

Never taken mine on the motorway!!!!!!!, always creep around B roads, or some A roads if we go camping in Swanage.
I try not to go over 2.5k revs, engine is on 73k & J reg!!!!

stamford 29-08-07 06:21 PM

LOL, I don't blame you either! The later ones have no guts................just as well seeing the way the wife drives!

mrt_04 29-08-07 06:24 PM

It would pull a stubborn mule, but top speed...forget it. I just keep it at at 40-45 max!!!

stamford 29-08-07 06:30 PM

I know what you mean, it does protest abit above 55 ish!

mrt_04 29-08-07 06:33 PM

hehe.....transfer nearly comes through the floor pan!!!!!, but I think it is great. Picked up a bookcase in it the other day, took back seats out....lady in shop, looked in horror as I drove off!!!. Only a 5 min drive.
