Why not?

Dan1971 10-05-09 05:25 PM

Don't like the blacked out windows, would prefer one with alcantara, and ..... Well, I've already had it.

Oh ..... and the fact that at some point it was rear ended. Repaired to a fair standard, the paint not being spot on. The rear bumper sagged a bit, but I guess he may have fixed it.

Shame he doesn't mention the speaker upgrade I had done though. That really did make a difference to the standard head unit.

Looks pretty mint from the pics, it says standard 18"s, I thought they were all 17"s, well at least the one I just got has 17"s.

He can't type properly, he doesn't know what he is talking about - alloy sizes and he claims to be a MG enthusiast.
I wouldn't buy from him.

Maxfly 10-05-09 08:27 PM

I'll guess the £700 was a slip of the key, but for fucks sake - does nobody proof read things when they are selling big things like this especially?!?!

mattie007 10-05-09 08:48 PM

Whats a quad vale engine?

Marky Mark 10-05-09 09:15 PM

£350 for window tints, hmmm, think he or she is laying it on abit thick with also listing the prices to make the car sell!!:spider:

Smokey 10-05-09 09:55 PM

stamford 11-05-09 06:35 PM

No quite proof read as it still has 'original 18" MG alloys' so Dan, did you convert the hubs to 5 stud in order to use ZT wheels? ;)

I sent him a message and put him straight on a few bits. Forgot the wheels and the rest of the bits though.

He told me he'd do me a deal if I was interested in having the "old girl" back.

He's still got it.

Hi, just to let you know. I Have the "old girl" in question!! The tinting was done very well! But def only 17" alloys and I do like the L.E.D lighting! But she goes well! Just think she needs a damn good service! When may i ask did you sell it to Owen? I doubt he's looked after her too well!? Do you know when it was rear ended?

Hi mate ...
Must have sold it to Owen in January, as that's when I got the ZT-T. As for the rear ender ... No idea. When I bought it, I was conscious of the paint on the rear bumper not matching and being slightly dull, but was sure that I could polish it up to a state where I was happy. Didn't really get there to be honest, as the touch up didn't have the metallic sparkle. It also sagged in the corners, but there's a fix for that on here somewhere, or a link to one on X-Power.

Mechanically, it should be sound. When I got it from Bristol Street Harlow, it had some coolant issues. Loads on here if you look back at my early threads. It spent much of it's first few weeks of my ownership in their workshops, but the leak was traced eventually, and sorted under warranty. The only upgrades I did was the roof and the rear speakers ; be careful in the corners, when cleaning. You have to go from the centre out when cleaning or using the chamy; not against the edges or they'll start to lift. With the speakers, they are focal upgrades with the dynamat, fitted at Audiofile in Bishops Stortford.

As you say ... could likely do with a service, but I was always happy with the way it went. Chris with the Mega ST Focus could verify I reckon as we had a fast wee drive through some twisties after a meet in Surrey last year and she went well.

Hope she goes well for you mate .... That's a lovely pair you have now. Phnar phnar !
