Just wondered if this would fit as my reception is pants and got a couple of long drives coming up.

MG Rovers fix for poor reception was to fit the longer whip from the Rover 45 - worked on my car.

Well I did change it over from the original zs whip to an aftermarket one which was a bit shorter but didn't change the base and reception is still the same, and I don't really want a longer aerial as I like the slightly shorter ones.

I went for the longer Rover one too, not pretty but functional. Guess its a decision on which is more important.

looking at the picture there is a little plastic locator behind the actual bolt so i'm guessing the zs doesn't have the hole in the body work to accept the locator on the new areial so with out you taking the original item off i would be inclined to say no it wouldnt

OK guys thanks, it's just I read a thread somewhere that the base can sometimes corrode giving a bad signal so Would it be worth investigating this?
