Front Grill Badge

Alright!

The badge on my grill is manky and faded, i want to take it off and put a new one in. I've had a look and can see 2 cross head bits sticking out - is it a case of knocking these until the badge comes out?

I did think of just going in hammer and tong but thought better of it! basically what I am asking is, is there an easy, damage free way of replacing the bage?

i got mine off with a screwdriver, just under the badge face and gently made it loose till it came out. then fitted a xpower badge, much better.

Heat the badge with a hairdryer first, to soften the glue. It will come off much easier then.

Perfect, thanks guys, thought that was the case. I'd rather ask before i go knocking about with a chisel and sledge hammer!

I heated mine up then slid a credit card under it to get it off

its not as hard as you all seem to be making it out to be. simply push the badge out from the back. its a bit tough at first but keep pushing it and it will come out.....its only held on by 2 sided tape.

Hair dryer'd mine till it practically fell off. New ones fitted and it makes one hell of an improvement

I'm tempted to try the hair dryer technique on my rear badge, but I am terrified that some paint will come with it! :o
