Frostfire Red mkII 180

So today I finally had chance to give my car it's first proper clean since i've owned (over 2 months now)

First off is a quick idea of the state of the paint, clearly the previous owners didn't care too much about giving it a real clean.

Next up is a quick reflection shot to try and show how well the flake pops in the sunlight.

Finally a shot of how the car looks after a wash, clay, and one layer of wax, before the sun went away again.

Apologies for the poor quality, but they were all taken on my camera phone.

Did my beema today, Im a sucker for clean cars and beading (nothing sexual).

Must have the best part of £400 quid worth of car cleaning gear but will last me years

ha ha ha me too, i just brought a focus 1.6 hdi, its good mechanically but the bodywork needs some elbow grease, like ross i already had in everything i needed to bring it back to life, spent 4-5 hours on it today and have only done half the car. !
I don't think it had ever seen polish in its life, dull paint, swirls in the lacquer and so many tar spots and contaminants that the panels felt like rough sand paper.
Half the car is now mirror smooth and the paint looks very good, its amazing how you can pull a tired looking motor back to its former glory.

Cheers for the kind comments guys.

Amazingly I only wash, clay'ed, and wax'ed it today, as I didn't have time to polish it. But this gives me a good base to work with when I give it a proper going over later this year as the paint no longer feels like sand paper.
