Redundancy!

Just been told I'm going to be made redundant. a day before my 25th bday could they not have wated till monday! Grrr

How long you been with the company? Is the redundancy package much? :)

I know it doesn't keep your job, but it might be enough to tide you over till you find another job?

What industry are you in dude?

Sorry to hear this mate. Been there myself a few times, it's never easy, chin up and get that CV up to date and circulated!

Gutted for you mate. A few years ago I was told 3 days before Xmas, nice pressie and a thoroughly miserable (un)festive time I had. But things always happen for a reason my sister says and it lead to bigger and better things in the end. There's plenty of work around you just have to put the the ground work in. Good luck fella.

thas bad news mate, dont think where out of trouble yet infact think its getting worse currently, sure youll find somewhere new before long, just have to keep looking

Supercharged_Z 06-01-11 05:26 PM

***** news, the good news is that the construction trade is still bouncing along the bottom but there are a lot of housing developments starting or re-started who might like your experience?

peterzs 06-01-11 06:05 PM

Bummer.

As Supercharged z said, cant you swop sides and become a planning consultant.

Sure it would be worth contacting local architects etc. who could use your expertise getting planning permission, fighting when planning permission refused.

Hope it all works out for you.
