Today's work - Parts 1 and 2 - Exhaust and Sub
So here we were this morning -
http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps95eefae7.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...psde327f88.jpg Up on the ramps at TX Autosport - it's clear that there will need to be some work around the flexi and cat in the not too distant - http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...psaa517177.jpg But got to say after an hours labour to remove, extend, machine polish the piper, and then some minor fettling - I'm very happy with the result - http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps40ce6917.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...psd043828c.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps663b9aef.jpg But there's also a RR there and I thought what the hell - they had nothing booked so were glad to put it on - Standard induction etc and Tesco petrol - cat still there - just a piper cat back on it. http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps20852045.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...pse7cbb245.jpg Really chuffed. Knew it was going well, but this just makes me happy ..... Next - the Alpine this afternoon hopefully if I get that call that it's in. |
Nice one Dan and good result on the RR, will be a confidence boost to know everything is running ship shape after all these cars aint getting any younger.

Healthy figures although a shallow graph, a lot better than the last RR! :D

It's just stretched accross the whole screen I think Mick. Some of the numbers differ from other print outs that I've looked at in that they are 500rpm gaps not 250 etc etc.
Nice and straight though - really happy. |
Pt 2 - The Alpine Sub.
So this afternoon's trip was to smart sounds in Harlow to get an Alpine 300 watt amped 8" sub fitted -
http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...psbf1f07e8.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps640724b3.jpg http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/i...ps1f4f0faa.jpg The difference in the car is astounding. As the boot's so huge, and it's only an 8" box, I've not lost a great deal of usable space. I've had to dial back the sub power - it's just too much for me but the bass it provides has given me a whole new experience of sound in the car and I can't believe I've not had one before. Still - better late than never eh ... :cool2: |
Nice one Dan, reckon I may go the same route.
