Cruise Control
I am in the process of fitting cruise control to my ZS180.
The 4 pot K and the T engined cars use a cable system for cruise control, the KV6 ZS, ZT, R45, R75 and Freelander use a pnumatic system. The main componnets are engine bay 1) Actuator (mounts on the unexplained bracket on the throttle body) 2) Actuator pump controls 1) Steering wheel paddle switches 2) Dash switch hidden bits 1) cruise ECU 2) KV6 interface 3) brake peddle switch 4) clutch peddle switch I have most of these bits togeather and am now working on how to connect them as only the top of the range R45 KV6 2.0 (which I understand only came as an auto) had cruise control as standard and they use a different facia and main loom and some of my parts came from a ZT anyway and they are wired differently! http://a6.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...60856109_n.jpg Acuator bracket. |

subscribe :)
Very interested to know how you get on with this. I guess some of the parts are very difficult to find, unless they were fitted as standard to the 75/ZT? |
Good luck mate, I am still trying to find all the parts!

The pump, actuator, ECU and KV6 interface are the same on the Rover 45 and the Rover 75/ZT but the wiring is different.
You may also be able to use the ZT/75 steering wheel or even just the switches, not sure about the rotary coupler and CBA to be checking part numbers at the moment. |
Nice project! Would you mind posting some pics of the bits you've collected so far?
