Miss My 180
Ahh Crap The 180 Bug has Come Back
No Bob You Cant Afford One Dilemma |
I'm in the same boat Bob
|
Buy one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
if i did sell my current zed i would defo buy a hatchback mk1 180
all depends on finances in a couple of months really as im getting a promotion in about a fortnights time more money and im hoping at renewal time my insurance will come down so i might just be able to afford one again |
I dont know why, getting rid of my 180 was the best thing I ever did tbh (apart from selling my BINI). They arent all that quick for what they are and are a nightmare on fuel costs, insurance and tax. Your LPG 1.6 is the way forward, youve done the right thing :)

30mpg isn't bad when you take into consideration its a big V6 and you said to me last week you regret selling your mk2!! Tax granted is a sore issue but insurance isnt to bad depending on your circumstances! How much was it to insure over your diesel? ?180? I rest my case m'lord. |
Can't beat the 180 gives me a massive smile every time I put my foot down.
i can also agree with craig i had a 120 then got a 180 tried a 115 derv with mods and a 110 with cams and a few mods since and theres no way id change back! |
Personally,
I had a 180 Got rid of 180 Tried 4 different cars Bought a 120 Selling 120 as I really want a 180 again! End of ....................... :) |

I'm enjoying putting ?20 of LPG and getting 250 miles out of it opposed to ?20 to 80 miles in petrol in the V6 I think I jus miss the noise tbh |
Personally i dont think the 180 is toooo bad on fuel, unless you really put your foot down. But its all about the noise it makes as it gets there, cant beat that.
|
Having had a V6 espace and then a 3.5 V8 range rover I find the 180 is cheap to run.
|
ZS180 is worth more than just petrol and tax costs................ The smile it puts on your face makes you feel so young and happy. Its free medicine, makes you want to get up early and stay up late. If you want to save money buy a Prius and be a miserable ****** all day!!!:tease::tease:

Look on the plus side, 180's are stupidly cheap, to the point of wrong! So what it costs to buy and then run would be cheaper than another marque in the long run. Like for like what else is there that is equal in purchasing price?
|
Read your own thread and posts after you bought it mate if you need reminding why you've got it, and a few from when you had your 180 before you sold it.....
Stick an induction kit on it mate until you have confirmed your promotion and your funds.... |

for what its worth i am getting rid of mine only because of the wife having an opperation and she cant get into the car
|
I dont find it that much more expensive to run then when i had my 110. Ok i'm getting about 50 miles a tank less and the tax is about ?5 a month more [a pint and 10 fags] When i originally swopped the 110 for the 180 my insurance went up ?10 a year [20% this year ] but then everybodies has gone up. And as run servising and maintenance you get that with whatever you drive. And the 180 is pretty reliable imo.
|
And you dont have to worry so much about the headgasket sh*tting itself on the 180.
