i have not heard of any thing like this but i suppose its plausable.

I never use wax, only for candles.

And just what is this Vister Forum you keep directing us to ? You seem very, very keen for us to look at it ! What's a vister when it's at home ?!

I dont think this is true, car polishes are becoming more advanced all the time and are designed to protect your paintwork. I just think some people dont prepare the paintwork properly before they polish it.

Vister is a brand name for the forums, it is not a real word, perhaps much the same as Digg, Google, Persil, etc. Hope that helps. We are getting a lot of visitors over the past few days being sent over from Google images were we have something listed.

In fact, typing "top gear football" into Google images places Vister Forums not only on the first page, but today we are ther very first image !

I have never heard so much drivle in all my life. The wax you use on a car shares nothing in common with that in a candle. Most of it is based on a tree wax called carabana wax. It provides, when applied correctly, a micron thick coating which hardens to help protect the paint from everything from UV rays to light abrasion. If you went onto detailingworld.co.uk and suggested this you would be laughed out of the door.

Every car i have owned has used a LSP (last stage polish) wax to prolong the finish provided by the polish. My ZS has dimondbrite (a semi permanent polish) which i top up with Dodo juice white candy hard wax.

Oh and as an aside most of the scratches and swirls in the paint is actually caused by grit and debris in your sponge when you was the car. You are far better to use a wash mitt or similar and use a bucket with a grit guard. I challenge anyone to find swirl marks on my ZS.

I'm with Al on this one, what a lot of dribble. Just because they are both called wax must mean they are the same product right enough.
