Saloon parcel shelf removal?

Is this something I can do, can't find any pointers in the Haynes manual so was hoping someone has removed one before...

Pretty sure its in the manual mate - four nuts off each of the speakers in boot then lift them out of the way. Fold seat backs forward and prise out the four or so clips you can see. Unclip the seat belt surrounds. Then the shelf just slides forward iirc. Haynes says to remove Dpost trim but cannot remember if this is needed.

Theres still a metal shelf left in place (welded into body)

Edit: Just had a look in Haynes - page 11*22, its mentioned under removal of rear seat belts.

HTH

Cheers, now found it in Haynes.

I only wanted to remove it if it was easy and clean off the dog hair from the previous owner. Looks like I shall have a go...

Buy a lint roller, will be quicker than removing the shelf.

Or wrap some sticky tape round your fingers, sticky side out - can then get to base of screen.

It's absolutely everywhere you can't reach. Might even re-trim it...

Well it came out a treat and now nearly every dog hair is history! I won't be retrimming it as that meant removing the bottom seat to get to the seat belt anchor points but it's clean, only took me 21 months
I even took off the centre console and turned my passenger window switch round - now I can push the switch down and the window goes down - really bugged me that is was down for up and vice versa, some muppet on the production line must have had a hangover or something on the day they did the switch on my car!

Always tell the missus that you can't rush a quality job, took me about 6 years to sort out the exhaust heat shield on bumper that wasn't fitted right.
