...Well I finally got one!! (part 2)

With the Mk1 under a offer I cant turn down, I set out to find me a mk2, only took 48hr!! ....and what beaut! Only 2 very small car park dents, just needs some paint correction and it will look like its straight from the showroom!!

71k(a few more than i would like) on a '54' plate. Brilliant history, with all the right bits done. Brought from a gentleman in his 60's, what could go wrong????

Only bad point, is a whine from the gearbox under load which will need addressing, but no major concern right now.

...and a little bit of ZS driveway porn!!!

Good spot Ross just found it on XPF owned by a guy called Brett. Had a brand new inlet mani fitted a few years ago, good to know. Very please seems to have been loved by the last 2 owners, and garaged since 2008.

:fun:

caled 11-08-11 02:44 PM

Ooooh puuurdy.

And a bargain, too, by the sound of it.

big_wasa 11-08-11 04:09 PM

Nice,

There does seem to be a lot of late ones about in black. Not many yellow / red ones.

Smokey 11-08-11 04:40 PM

I know, I'd love a yellow saloon or red one, mk2's seem to be black/silver/xpower

Anyone no the numbers of what colors where made for the mk2's ?

stamford 11-08-11 05:54 PM

You ZS whore!

Magic 11-08-11 06:54 PM

Nice, black MK2's remind me of Darth Vader from the front.

Not usually a fan of MK1's but that red one is nice. Hard to choose between the 2.

Nice little collection.;)

Haven't had time to work my magic on the mk2 yet :mml: Where as the mk1 is finished.

Dave MGT 13-08-11 01:13 PM

Very nice!

When I was looking I wanted a silver or black. Pannel gaps arent a issue with black cars :)

I Have seen that car years ago when I bought a set of wheels off Brett. It was his price and joy! and was very fussy with it!!

It shows too, there genuinely isn't a mark on it, only the 2 tiny car park dents.

ZS Phil 13-08-11 05:18 PM

Taphouse 13-08-11 05:34 PM

Yeah, down to 1 ZS. Sad day, I regret it already!!lol

ZS Phil 13-08-11 06:28 PM

Didn't need advertising, it was a car in demand.

The plate is still mine, it just takes a couple of weeks to sort it out via the dvla.

Phate 01-09-11 06:58 AM

Lol Jim, if you just kept hold of one in the first place you wouldn't be experiencing this stress :p

stamford 01-09-11 07:11 AM

Jim, why did you sell it in the first place? Was a family car to start with, with it being a hatchback and all ;)

Boot Hill Bandit 01-09-11 09:15 AM
