I get GoodWood ;)

I am officially back in the fold of ZS180 ownership:D Picked up a Goodwood green 180 earlier today. Needs a wee bit tlc but is a sound motor and I love the colour!! Also loving the Alcantara seats:D VIS both gubbed an now in hospital at Kevs to see if salvageable, exhaust blowing but doesnt bother me a jot as it was not staying for very long tbh. A muchos grasssy arse to Kev who was invaluable today with help and motion power to get there including the great money withdrawel challenge lol. So couple of manky pics, getting stuck in tomorrow with the cleaning, though already have coilpack cover and LED sidelights fitted:D

Maxfly 11-12-10 06:30 PM

Have to say the green really comes out in the light, looks totally different to the pics tbh:) Planning a full exhaust system including decat first along wi touch up to scrape on rear bumper as well as gettting my old extreme spoiler painted and fitted. Planning to leave the centre part pearl black and just get the supports done in green, wi black front bib should tie in nicley imo:)

Stephen 11-12-10 06:41 PM

Any way of contacting the insurance comp or the garage it went to for review? see if they knew?

Im planning on going down to kilmarnock/ayr scrappies soon with a guy from the 75/ZT Website, so will keep an eye out :)

Also think some headlamp powerwash things on the bumper would look good on it!.

WXM Matty 11-12-10 06:55 PM

Nice to see you came back to the ZS :D

Sure you will make a good job of this one like the last!

Craig 11-12-10 09:14 PM

Nice one mate, i do love the colour

BUCKYDEVIL 11-12-10 11:01 PM

Glad to hear the good news Gary, Not too sure about the colour but Maybe Im just comparing against what you had before, Im sure with the way brought out the best of the black stealth you will apply to this with some nice tastefull mods.
Look forward to watching how you bring out the best in it.
And a visit to Dr Kev is a good place to start.

andys1981 12-12-10 05:35 AM

good stuff ma man, glad ye got another one,me personally wouldent go for green (but im biased lol)never the less am sure you will have it looking stunning, nice one gary!!

Maxfly 12-12-10 07:44 AM

Cheers a'body, nice blank canvas to get working on:D

Andy an Marcus, thought you pair might no like the colour lol Still say that it looks a totally different green in the flesh, certainly a few more shades lighter....more than likely my ***** photography that makes it looks darker and well flatter tbh:)

It wont be an overnight thing but first few bit's i want done
Fecking good clean insides an oot
Exhaust
VIS working
Bumper painted and spats touched up
air filter
proper job spoiler on
my stereo in and sell cd HU with multi changer
HIDS
Wind deflectors
Tints windows

One thing I am not sure about this time, obviously I had rally flaps on the black one but I think i could only get away with that due to them blending in with the colour of the car....not so sure if large black mud flaps would blend in so well on this car and really want to keep the spats protected from stones aff the front wheel - suggestions please:)

Dan1971 12-12-10 07:46 AM

Green flaps .... ? Bit of Black "MG" detail on them ?

Just no sure Dan, not seen any green the now but think they would be too 'bright' and stand out too much. Thhe black ones may fit in as I plan to add black and darker colours here and there.

First ebay purchase done, wanted a catch tnak but in black and square. Could only find this one on ebay so it is now mine:D http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

KevG 12-12-10 09:50 AM

Well the VIS motors are well and truly gubbed, no even salvageable, luckily I had a spare Power motor and a very lazy Balance motor so they will go on the car just now to make it drivable at the moment.

Ritchy 12-12-10 10:08 AM

i dont know where you can buy it gary but you can get thick clear self adhesive vinyl, cut it to size and stick it on the inside, if you see any new shape fiestas about look at the lower corner at the rear door theyre fitted there to stop stone chips, wasnt too bad to put it on when we had the recall, would stop stone chips no problem.

some grey would definatly look good against the green, grey wheels ect, dont think mudflaps would suit this one but its going to look great when its done, few colours missing to have the full colour selection at the stand, need to import some zs's from the south.

Well got stuck in about cleaning the exterior today, also engine bay was thoroughly gutted as it was minging tbh. Came up like new in there, was just a quick wash down on the body as it was so flaming cold the day. Also got engine flush and fresh oil along with pollen filter change.. Once again a huge thanks to Kev who came across with mini service goodies and working vis motors he had. Vis motors in and she is flying:D Sounds mean as **** with the blown exhaust lol, engine is nice and quiet and cannot wait to get a proper zorst on then an air filter when i find one at a guid price:) Kev took some photos today showing the bits requiring some tlc and show her washed down:)

Think they will work bud and tbh the amount of protection the give over not having any makes it worth having them:) So flaps will be added lol.

The previous owner knew to put the oil IN the engine, yeah?

LOL, tbh i very much doubt it, didn't know much about mechanics of car. He had been running with no VIS motors and so much slack in the throttle cable I am surprised it moved lol. Nothing on throttle till you pressed at least half of it's travel:)
