Towbar?
 
right found the car i want( Z Scotland its the blue one u spotted for me) only problem is it has a towing bar at the back is it possible i could remove it ? im unsure if the bumper had to be cut at all... any ideas?

Unless it is a genuine Rover part, I would expect it to have been cut. I do not think the OE ones require cutting as most people would go for the discreet one where the tow hitch bar can be removed and the electrics are just under the rear valance.

Easy to remove, but there will be bolt holes left in the boot floor where the chassis rails are, will need to be plugged and sealed. Also electrics will need to be removed and spliced cables insulated from shorting. However, if intend to use a bikerack of any kind, then you may want to keep the socket for a trailerboard.

is it a mk1 or a mk2 mate? i know Craig had a tow bar on his mk1 180 when he first got it, he managed to remove it ok. i'll go find a pic of his to see if its the same as the one your getting...

How you doing bud ;Towbars are very easy to remove 6 bolts then follow the wire in to the carboot then cut and insulate the wires.
Hope it's a goodn:happy: from the picture it doesn't look like they cut the bumper.
